What's the (weekend) plan Stan?

Mrs Magic, 16 May, 2008 at 13:17 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 62

Mr M is coming up to my mum's tonight and staying for a whole week before we go back to Scouseville next weekend. ? We really don't have any plans, which is ?. Due to a friend's family emergency, we're doggy sitting for her chocolate lab all weekend and also having her 4 year old son to stay on Sunday, I'm ridiculously excited about the do and a bit scared about the boy. ?

What are your plans?

Make a couple of greetings cards for people.

    Print off some photos.

Spend time filling out probate and HMRC forms.

Mow, rake lawn, sprinkle grass seed on bald patches, water in.

Feed bedding plants wiv Miracle Grow.

    Slob out.

Not a huge amount planned, really.

Run / dog walk tomorrow morning and then hopefully we'll spend the afternoon planting 50 chamomile plants in the garden to make a 'lawn' area. That relies on them being delivered today / tomorrow though.

Sunday I think we're going to a fundraiser for Rochdale Dog Rescue, up in Befordshire - Riley needs to win more dog show rosettes...

Tonight: Leave work early after a busy week and maybe see BF quickly on the way home for a drink and have a wander down to the tunnel where the Cans Festival was to look at da art.

Tomorrow: Housework (boo), boring shopping (double boo) and then in the evening BF is organising something but it's a surprise! (i.e. it's his turn to think of something fun to do and he is drawing a blank ?)

Sunday: Meeting lovely Platty for a late lunch... I think there may be booze involved!?

    Fab weekend!?

Helping my friend move house tonight, oh joy! There will be wine involved though.

Tomorrow I'm doing something with my mum, hopefully shopping.

Tomorrow night I have a date - I'm a bit excited <schoolgirlgiggle> if anyone wants to tell me what to wear, feel free ?

Actually, scrap what I said. ? Mr M is now not coming and pretty much hates me as I got his connecting train time wrong. He now won't come as the ticket isn't tranferrable and he won't pay again. I'm absolutely gutted and so upset. I've just called my mum at work and ended up in floods of tears. Our week that we've been looking forward to since christmas is ruined, including our anniversary. I feel sick. My mum isn't home from work for another 90 mins either. ?

At least the dog will still be coming soon so I can have a cuddle.

I'm supposed to be going to the Mets V Yankees baseball game tonight but as it's currently throwing it down and set to do so all day I'm guessing that will be rained off.

Tomorrow I'm having a lie in and then going to a Caipirinha party for a friend who's going back to Brazil next month.

    Sunday will be hangover recovery!

Tonight will be rescuing my streaky fake-tanned disasterous legs.

Tomorrow is a wedding in essex.

Sunday is recovering from hangover and if not too bad, painting the hall.

Gah - tight twat! He's cutting off his nose to spite his face. I bet he'll calm down and make his way there tomorrow.

LOML is in Crewe so I'm alone for the entire weekend and have no plans - I shall go for runs, relax, watch crap telly, play with my camera and bake.

Oh MrsM what a shame - are you sure he won't pay again? Wouldn't it be worth it to spend the week together? And your anniversary?! Can't you work something out? ?

My weekend will be continuing to rest, enjoy a bottle or two of wine with H but I'm going to get out of Birmingham for the first time since Easter and go down to Solihull to blow my John Lewis vouchers on new lights for our hall and living room. I am SO excited. Chandelier anyone?! ?

We have the money, he just doesn't want to pay for another ticket. He said the week is ruined now so there is no point in coming.

I don't know what to do now. He was bringing my months prescription with him, I'll need to go home before Monday night or get him to post them special delivery tomorrow and stay here for a bit.

Sorry for hijacking the thread. ?

My weekend plans consist of a long day tomorrow, which I had my hand twisted around my back to do and on Sunday weather permitting I will be raking and sowing grass seed on my very patchy lawn.

I've even tried begging (in tears) on the phone, saying I'll pay it but he just keeps saying it's not the cost, it's the principle. We've got a hotel booked for our anniversary but I won't cancel just yet, we might have to pay anyway as they have a 7 day cancellation thing as it's an little independant hotel.

How rubbish Mrs M. Hope it gets sorted out OK. I'm off to Portugal tomorrow, after submitting all these lousy essays tonight.

    I can't wait!

Thats really annoyed me. the "principle"? WTF? so he s prepared to A: sacrifice a week away with his wife "on principle" and B: knowing she needs the prescriptions, potentially make HER come back anyway? what a fucking idiot.

Well it was going to be a cocktail slumber party tonight, and I'd made vodka jelly and everyfink.

But my friend has selfishly caught the lurgy, so it looks like I'm staying in and having pizza.

On the plus side, I made 5 small dishes of jelly and used half a bottle of vodka in them, so if I choose to I may be able to match Baron in the arseholder stakes.

Oh Mrs M, that's horrible, you poor thing. I don't understand about the principle, there's no principle involved - a mistake was made, that's it, we're all human, we all do it. To cancel anniversary plans like that on a whim is surely just frustration speaking? He can't possibly mean that?

Plus what happens with the prescription now? Even if he is hell-bent on cutting off his nose to spite his face then he must acknowledge that your medication is not a tool, it's something essential that you need, whether or not there is a disagreement going on.

I really feel for you, it's grossly unfair.

I couldn't agree more. He's being a ***. And you should be crapping on him from a dizzy height for being so unreasonable, not begging. Why is it your job to sort out his train times anyway? This is exactly the kind of thing my ex would have done, so I'm extra unimpressed on your behalf.

    Thanks everyone. x

If he doesn't come, he'll either need to post my medication special delivery tomorrow or I'll have to go home on Monday. The friend whose dog we're sitting will be driving back up from Liverpool on Monday and my mum has said to ask her to either bring Mr M or my pills, I'll have to see though as she's so stressed with her very sick relative, I don't want to add to it. I really don't want to go back down there like this, it's not fair but I want to make something of our anniversary.

He was to go Prescot - Wigan - Preston on local trains to get his main train up, I misread when I booked them and thought it was just Prescot - Preston. He didn't get on as he didn't know to change. It was a complete mistake. I've stopped crying now and I'm actually starting to get a bit pissed off.

Have a good weekend everyone. ?

Mrs M I am sorry that your plans and week have turned poo. (fingers crossed he gets out of his strop soon.)

Tomorrow i will be sorting the house out ready for the estate agents to take pictures. Then watching Cardiff city play in the FA cup with some friends in a pub in Cardiff.

Sunday hangover and visiting the tip and charity shops with everything i am throwing out.

I am absolutely fizzing at what your H has said MrsM. Completely unreasonable, selfish, self-centred and pathetic.

I'm just hoping that he's saying this to throw you off the scent and he's actually got a lovely surprise for you but even that would be cruel.

He's just come online, checked train times for tomorrow and said it would cost £75 and would be via york (ie he won't do it as it takes hours) and went off again. I won't be seeing him over the weekend now so just need to work out next move for monday. I really don't know what to think.

Thank you for the hugs and allowing me to offload in my tizzy. Rory (the dog) will be here any minute so think I'm going to go off to clear my head and have some doggy cuddles outside.

The problem is if he sends the prescrp special delivery theres no guarantee it ll get there tomorrow now anyway, RM doesnt guarantee it after midday on a friday. i d *** him off and stay up there for the week. you could ring your GP today, explain the problem, and i bet you could liaise with a local pharmacy and get them to dispemnse your meds anyway. give them a ring, i bet they ll do that, if not now, on monday morning. then you could just go to the pharmacy and pick them up from there, without any hassles.

What Nick said. They might dispense from a fax if you explain the problem. I know we would, we'd just ask the surgery to send us the original.

edited: I suppose the problem would be having them in stock isn't it? mmm. Worth a try though.

I have zero weekend plans, including tonight and my H is out so I'm home alone tonight. Think I'm just going to chill out and watch crappy TV and mooch online!
