Do you think these prices are reasonable? A lady at work recommended them. What is everyone else paying?

Going to go that way to work and have a look. It's only a small place in a little village.

I think this is well cheap!!! I'm having just make up done for £60 (and thought that was quite reasonable compared to other places I have tried)!

Do you think it might be too cheap to be any good? Perhaps I'll ask around a bit more and see if anyone else has used them?

Sounds very reasonable to me! If it is only a small place then that'll be why it is cheaper than most. If you go towards city centres/chains then you start to pay silly money. If you have a recommendation then go for it.

FWIW I charge £35 an hour for bridal hair (I am mobile) average is around hour and a half just to compare.

I'd definitely go and check them out well in advance - it does sounds very cheap, but if you've had a recommendation you should be ok. I work in a hair salon and we charge £35 just for the Brides hair on the day, trials and make-up are on top of that price.

I'd say it was an excellent price. If they've been recommended then surely some one has used their services and found them to be ok?

That sounds very reasonable to me. If you're worried its too cheap book yourself in for a trial asap. I had several before I made my mind up, unfortunately settling for the most expensive ?

That sounds like a good deal to me. Mine was £25 for the trial & will be £30 on the day.

I'd say that was def reasonable. I went to my local usual salon, a business run attached to their home and they charged £25 to wash, style & semi put mine up and £15 to wash & blow dry my Mum. I hired my local Virgin Vie consultant, extra trained in wedding make-up and she was £40 for me and £25 each for my trial and my Mum on the day. My sister as BM did her own.

I'm paid £25 for a hair and make up trial plus £120 for on the day plus £20 travel and £7 for false lashes.

MOB and guests hair and make up is £50.

Why I'm more than double I'm not sure!

Geesh where are you lovely ladies getting yours done?

I got told by on salon that just for my hair and make up it'll cost about £150.00 that does not inclued my bridesmaids or mob.

I think thats a great price ashmegdj - don't be put of because of the price, if its a small independent place they won't charge the sometimes outrageous prices salons do! There is no reason why this place would be any worse than a high street salon charging treble that - a hairdresser is a hairdresser (as far as if they are running a successful business then they must be good!)

    Hi ashmegdj,

This is really good value. I'm paying £50 for make up alone (including trial). And I thought THAT was cheap!

My little local salon is £30 for hair including a trial which I though sounded cheap. They don't do many though so not got a huge amount of experience although that doesn't mean it won't be any good. ?
