What's your favourite Michael Jackson song?

HeidiHole, 26 June, 2009 at 22:10 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 48

His back catalogue is vast, and every time I pick one I think "oh no, what about this song..and this one...and this one..".

But having listened to a couple of his albums today I'm going to choose Man In The Mirror, it makes me want to sing it out loud and shout 'chooooooooooon' when I hear it.

A really fantastic song in my opinion. What's yours?

Mine is definitely One Day In Your Life.

Have always loved it, reminds me of my childhood babysitter. We used to have a good old singsong once the parents had gone out.

I listened to it today on youtube and it made the hairs on the back of neck stand up.

Can take or leave all of it really, but I heard "Beat It" on the radio today and that's pretty good.

Another vote for Man in the Mirror - I remember belting that out at Wembley Stadium on 1992 - so pleased I had the chance to see him live.

    Amazing [:'(]

None - not a fan at all - i have had the radio on all day waiting for something that i thought 'yeah - he was a musical genius - that was amazing' - but it didnt happen

anything before the whooping, squeaking, gasping crotch grabbing stuff is better though

I have to say Smooth Criminal, reason being that I nearly got kicked out of my GCSE English because I had not done enough coursework. To complete it, I had to finish a poem assignment and at a loss got out my 'Bad' album, loved the word 'Crescendo' and proceeded to copy his lyrics for my poems. I got a D.

I'm really not sure, especially when you're including Jackson 5, there's just sooo much to choose from.

I have the history album and absolutely love cd1 of that which starts with billie jean.

Thriller is fab too especially with the video.

I've just had to put the history cd on!

I'm honestly not sure I could choose just one. Billy Jean's certainly up there, but the first MJ album I had was "Bad" and listening to that again today brought back some memories...

I had a spare half hour at work today (I teach Y6-11 year olds). They were all talking about it, many were upset, others just wanted to discuss it. We had a bit of a Jackson-Fest, playing his videos on YouTube and just talking about him and what a legend he was, then discussing where it all went wrong for him. They're only 11, and my 53 year old Mum was also a fan. There aren't many artists who can span a 40 year age gap, are there? I still feel really sad about it all. What a sad life he led.

I used to think it was Librarian Girl ?

My faves ever are 'Don't Stop til you Get Enough' and 'Beat It'. If Jackson 5 stuff comes in, then 'Can you Feel it?' Ace stuff.

I liked many songs from the Thriller album. So sad that in the end his life imitated his art.

RIP Jacko - I really do hope you are now trouble free

I'm not a fan but I dont think you need to be to like a song.
