I can honestly say I am absolutely talentless. I would love to have some kind of talent but if I do have one I have yet to discover it.

I can crochet stuff, I can paint and design stuff (in a graphics sense, not a fine art sense), I can (I think) explain complicated things to the uninitiated.

I thought everyone could do it? Apparently not. I do a little mexican wave with them.

I can do the tongue thing too, and twist it upsidedown both ways. Boys are always impressed with this, dirty sods.

I just have a massive gob! Someone bet me I couldn't so obviously had to prove them wrong. Just one big bite, then rest it in half, then the other half, core and all.

I'm hyper mobile so I can bend more than the average person. I can bend my thumb behind my hand, I love doing that because it makes OH feel sick! And I discovered the other day that, from standing, I can rest my foot on the top of a post box. All pointless skills!

Me too. But I have hypermobility syndrome so can't really do the party tricks often or I pay for it the next day. I have to make a real conscious effort to stand properly because my knees bend backwards.

    I can:

    * Knit - fairly proficiently, though I've never tried intarsia

    * Cross Stitch - I can sit for hours doing this, the bigger and more complicated the better!

    * Bake - apparently my Red Velvet Cake is second to none (not just my mum that says that!)

    * Decorate cakes - for weddings, parties, christenings, etc..

    * Paint - proper oils on canvas, though not done this for a while (space issues)

    * Pretty much anything else crafty - I'll have a go at least!

I also made all my own wedding stationery, have no photos to flash though

Karma - I am rubbish at maths and my 'singing' voice would make birds explode (like Fiona in Shrek!) ?

I have hypermobility Syndrome too! Definitely doesn't count as a talent, it's sore!! My knees constantly go back, I have to make an effort to hold them forward. Also every time I stand up my knees ankles and hips all crack at once. If someone's not used to it they get a fright!!

Tizzie- It's horrible isn't it! My H always jokes that I sound like an old woman every time I bend down. De-railing the thread slightly, any tips on dealing with the cramping?

I find the horrified look on people's face entertaining when everything clicks as if "how is that not sore?!" I have to explain that it is but happens that often I'm used to it! I don't find much helps me to be honest a warm (not boiling!) bath helps, hot water bottle sometimes and swimming but instead of just floating around I swim loads and end up in more pain!!

My lovely H bought me a jacuzzi bath to help the pain but it's my been connected yet! The doctor suggested a repeat prescription of co codamol and I refused it. I don't see the point in getting used to tablets, they don't work for me and it's worse when it wears off.

One physio told me to do yoga but I read that it was bad for people with hypermobility syndrome because of all the bending.

    Do you see a physio?

I am good at finding lots of stuff on the internet, got a memory for lots of random facts (and numbers - who needs a phone book when you can remember stuff) and I'm sure there is more stuff, but can't think of anything else right now
