I took mine off partway through the wedding breakfast as it was annoying me while I was sat down.

At this point, I don't intend to take it off, unless it starts to bug me! When my BF and MOH got married she had intended to take hers off almost straight after the ceremony, but actually ended up wearing it all day!

I think you should just play it by ear on the day and see how you feel Smiley smile

Mine was cathedral length and I planned to take it off before wedding breakfast but I adored it and kept it on until just after the first dance when shoes also came off and dress was put up.

I think it depends on how long it is and how much it annoys you.

Mine wasn't very long so i kept it on until after the wedding breakfast. It did get in my way at that point so i asked my mum to help take it off.

I'd play it by ear if i were you.

I planned to take mine off before the breakfast as I thought it would get in the way, but I didn't actually take it off until about 10pm in the end! I pleased because we had some photos outside after dinner and I like that I'm still wearing it.

Mine is chapel length and I'm planning on taking it off either just before or just after the first dance. I haven't decided yet, depends on how much it annoys me!

I am planning to have mine on from the ceremony until after the wedding breakfast, after which the veil and tiera will come off and a handband with flowers on (like festival type headbands) ready for the evening and also some couple photos with the slightly different headwear

Mine came off during arrival drinks at the reception! It was particularly windy, but when a breeze did go by, it took my veil up with it, and cos I had hands full, with drink, bag, and flowers, I didnt have enough hands to get it off my face, or stop it blowing into people, so it came off. I didnt think I would find it as annoying as I did!!

I think it depends on the veiling where your wearing it. Mines a single layer waist length. The plan is to wear it all night. I think it finishes the look off and it's nice for your evening guests to see you wearing it. I imagine if its worn on the top of your head it might get in your way and be quite uncomfortable. I'm wearing mine quite far back, just over my messy bun. But I might move it so it's under the bun for the evening. Or it might drive me insane and not even make it to the wedding breakfast. I think your best just going with the flow. X

Mine will come off when it gets in the way....Hopefully after the first dance but probably beforehand. It's chapel length so I can't see me being able to manage it all night, much as I might like!

I had a chapel length two tier veil. It fell out when I sat down for the wedding breakfast and I didn't put it back on. Was quite warm by that point!

I'm planning on taking mine off after the wedding breakfast. I will be removing my detachable train then, so will probably do the veil at the same time, that way I can make sure they are both somewhere safe.

Veils can look fab in your photographs so, if at all possible try to keep it on until the official photos are done! It doesn't have to be perfect, in fact veils blowing in the wind shots etc can look really good!

Many of our brides takes their veils off after the pictures have been taken if they have really long veils such as a cathedral or chapel length. Others with shorter veils wait until after the meal and toasts and take their veils off just before the dancing starts. Hope this helps xx

Mine is borrowed from my sister, so I'll probably take it off before the evening reception so I can give it back to her!
