Interested to hear your responses - it's the only thing my OH is fully in charge of! He wants to buy a new suit for him ad two best men, looked into one place who commented it is too early to buy them in case of size change before the wedding. Just know it will be the last thing i tick off my list haha! Smiley smile

We're two days after you & I think OH is going to get his suit after Xmas. I know the shop he's going to (to hire) says anytime up to a year but I think 4 months is plenty of time! Men can put on/lose weight too so as close to the date as poss really! Smiley smile

Are you buying or hiring? For hire, we have gone with Moss Bros, my OH has chosen the suits (6 months prior to the wedding), they wrote all the info down for him, we are ordering next week, need tp pay 50% deposit, give all the names of the people wearing the suits, once thats done and you are on the system you get a booking number, just give this out to whoever needs to be measured and they can go in to any Moss Bros in the country and be measured, just all goes on the computer.

Then you pick the suits up from the original shop you ordered from but you can again return to any Moss Bros. We are getting married mid Feb and were advised that everyone needs to be measured the first two weeks of Jan.

** if you not hiring then this whole message is useless! haha.

We are buying OHs suit in the January sales for our wedding in August.

I would get them measured, etc, after Christmas in January as we all put on a few pounds over the festive season so at least you know they will fit! I would've thought this was plenty of time for an April wedding, though I probably would aim to get them all sorted before March, especially if there's a few guys to get sorted.

Ah fab my information wasnt wasted ?

Yes they were very helpful, I think its great you can be measured at any Moss Bros and drop off at anyone too - sounds perfect for you.

Oh one thing worth mentioning you need to add £8 to each suit ... This is some kind of damage insurance. So ours were £100 each but you get the 5th suit free.

But they say 6-4 weeks before the blokes should be measured.

Thank you! Super helpful. My OH is here with me in Scotland but he is from Northern Ireland where his best man and ushers live. We are thinking Moss Bros for hiring so good to know that they don't all have to go together which could be a nightmare. I'm secretly hoping they will change their minds and wear kilts, but only certain stores do certain tartans...! Thanks Smiley smile
