Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We booked our honeymoon yesterday. We are going to Kenya for 2 weeks! We are doing a 4 day safari and will be staying in Baobab beach resort on Diani beach, cant wait. We wanted to do something a bit different and my OH isnt a fan of lying on beach for 2 weeks.

JEALOUS!!!! This was OHs and my dream honeymoon, but we can't afford it ☹️

We're going to Kenya for 2 weeks and doing a 3 night safari while there. I've just booked our flight seats and some champagne and chocs to enjoy on the plane over so I'mliterally bouncing around with excitement now!!

We wanted to go to Kenya but June is rainy season so we opted for Borneo for a bit of relaxing and travelling around and then Dubai. It was simply amazing. This was my highlight .

We did want to go to the Maldives, but i didn't fancy a 10-12 hour flight for just 1 week (we have 3 children and i won't leave them longer than this), so in the end, we decided on Egypt.

Jenny we've been to Egypt 3 times and love it so you'll have a great time there and the snorkelling is excellent. x

We are going to book a last minute deal somewhere for 2 reasons, 1 is money and the other is I am terrified of flying. I really want to go to mexico and if I book it ages in advance I will just madly panic. ( I cancelled our holiday to greece last year 3 months before we were due to go as I was a mess).

I am very hopeful that I will be far to busy with the wedding to worry about flying......I hope ?

I agree - Egypt is excellent. That was where H2B and I first went on holiday together and when we went back he proposed!

We are doing 7 nights touring Sri Lanka and 7 nights in the Maldives, just working out the details and costs now... although we go in 11 weeks so best get a move on!

Not jealous........MUCH, That would be my dream!!!

We are going on a cruise around the med, h2b hates flying so decided this is what we would do, he will fly but doesn't want the worrying when we get married as he wants to focus on the wedding not on a flight

We're gonig to Cuba for two weeks, near guadalavaca (hope i spelt that right) - it's their dry season in march but also they're cool season which will suit us fine ? is also good for snorkelling.

SNAP!! Thats the hotel we are looking at, but we are doing 3 nights safari!! Hotel looks amazimg doesnt it?? ?

We are doing a mini-moon to Rome. should be really romantic seeing all the history and the culture tho. (i'm a history nerd) I cant wait!

Sounds very nice Fcerrino - fancied rome myself (also a bit of a history geek), but thought it would be a bit on the cold side at my time of year!

We are in a similar position to you, we have 2 children so only want to go for a week and that isn't a long flight. We have also been thinking in Egypt, do you mind me asking where you are staying?

And to the others that mentioned Egypt, is there anywhere in particular that you recommend? x

We are planning to putting the roof down on our convertible and driving around France and staying in Chateau's as we are getting married on the May bank holiday (eeekk not far away now).. We can't afford to pay for the big honeymoon with all the wedding costs but we said we would take one later on in the year! I would love to go to Borneo..
