where are you honeymooning and how much does it really cost?!

Hii,

We are hoping to book our honeymoon soon following our wedding 21st aug next year. We had always planned to go to Mexico as i've been obsessed with visiting for years! however the weather looks a bit naff - either hurricanes or raind depending where you go and obviously we want lovely weather! So am slowly coming to terms with the fact we might not go there...but where now??

We'd both love to visit Hawaii but it seems sooo expensive and they don't do any all inclusive deals, which we do quite fancy (if you can't have luxury on honeymoon when will we?!) We've got quite a big budget - in my opinion anyway! Was thinking about 3 - 3.5k for us both, but would want all food and drink in with that and to stay somewhere mega nice, but feel a bit stuck for ideas.

I love travelling, but, probably like most people can't afford to jet off to the other side of the world very often, so we really want to make it count by going somewhere we are interested in, as well as somewhere with lovely sun and beach!

Where is everyone going and if you don't mind, how much is it really costing? Brochure and net prices are never that reliable so would be great to know how much people pay in reality!

Thank you brides! x

We're heading off on a round the world trip for our honeymoon...which is gonna cost a mint but be soooo worth it.

have you considered thialand? they do some stunning luxury packages... and you litterally cannot burn your money when your out there... your talkin £2 a day on food and getting waited on hand and foot.

My friend spent a two week holiday out there last year at around that time of year on about £2000 and said she lived like a queen the whole time she was there.

    worth a thought xo

Hi there, you should be able to do Hawaii within your budget! Flights are around £800 each normally, though you may get some deals at certain times of year, so that still leaves around £2000 budget for your hotel which for a couple of weeks you can get somewhere decent for. You're right about the all inclusive though - not common over there.

For the same budget though you could make it go MUCH further in the Far East - there are some stunningly beautiful hotels out there where you can stay all inclusive for a couple of weeks easily within your budget! And the weather will be better than in the caribbean area at that time of year where you do run the risk of hurricanes!

Hope that helps but if you need any more advice please just let me know!

Hey! We're going to the Maldives - it's working out pretty expensive at 5k for 10 nights, half board (not including flights!) but it is 5* luxury and the Maldives is apparently just very costly. always been my dream though, so had to cough up!

I was in Thailand this summer and would absolutely recommend it. Earlier in the summer, it is monsoon so you can get some rain - and i know the west coast tends to get some hurricanes. Hopefully by the end of August it should have cleared up. I would say to stick to the east coast - Koh Samui is SO stunning. There are lots of luxury hotels that are competitive on price, and lots of spas and fancy restaurants. Good luck!

We went to Bali in September for a tour plus beach stay and added stopovers in KL for 15 nights for £2,200 (not AI).

    We did...

    KL (2 nights) - Bali Beach (2 nights) - Bali Tour (5 nights / 3 hotels) - Bali Beach (5 nights) - KL (1 night).

    Hi,

We get married 14th Aug Smiley smile
We are going on a cruise around the Med. sail out from Southampton on 4th Sep, with Celebrity Cruises. Parents have been going on cruises for years and have recommended it! (We did an overnight one this sept and loved it!!).

We are going to stop at Southampton, England; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Gibraltar; Barcelona, Spain; Provence (toulon), France; Palma De Mallorca, Spain; Seville (cadiz), Spain then back to Southampton. So are really getting to travel and see lots of different places, whilst being pampered in luxury! and hopefull at that time of year should be lovely and warm!!

Worth thinking about for anything around £3500 depending on the cabin choice (all inclusive - not drinks) http://www.celebritycruises.co.uk/live-pricing/?action=cruiseDetails&cruise=302&cruise_type=cou

hope this helps, and gives you another idea to consider...

Hello But in our travels, we've come across some extra special honeymoon destinations. A few of these are familiar, and there are some you perhaps haven’t heard of or considered before. Have you ever dreamed of watching a storm on the Pacific from an oceanfront cabin? Or relaxing in a small luxury hotel on the cliff of an extinct volcano! Of course, no one destination is the right place for everyone. Our choice of honeymoon can depend on: * When you get married and want to getaway * How much time you have * How much money you can spend on your honeymoon Beach Honeymoon Couple And while some couples prefer total seclusion, others need to be near the action. There are newlyweds who like to travel independent, and those who dreams.
