We will be at home for the early part of the morning then going to pick up H's mum and we then invade mum and dads for the day/night.

We will be going to my parents, OH usually goes to his sisters/mothers (they take it in turns) but they has been a big falling out, so he is coming to my parents with me..

I love being with my parents at Christmas, its utterly selfish on my part but I am an only child and its always been the three of us so I don't want it to change!

What started as a nice quiet Christmas on our own has become us hosting for OH's parents and my Dad. It will be nice though, and this will be the 7th Christmas dinner I have cooked, so it should be good! I was looking for to just us this year, as last year was an absolute nightmare due to certain family members and their behaviour. Should be ok with just the parents round though.

I miss spending Christmas with my Grandparents so much. As a child we went to their every single year and my happiest memories are from those stays. They now live abroad though, so I can't see them on Christmas day ☹️

Me & OH will probably wake up together on Xmas day morning and then go to his Mum's for a couple of hours and then we are off to my aunties with my parents where there will be about 12 of us to spend the rest of the day/evening ?

Then off to OH's dad on Boxing Day!

    There's always bloody one haha!

I really don't know what we will do this year. We always went to my mums with me being an only child but following a fall out with her husband earlier in the year (took half the money back they had given us towards the wedding after we had already used it all because he had fallen out with my mother, then asked for the other half as well) we won't be going there but I don't want to go to the in laws as we always go boxing day and two days in a row is a bit much!

Me, H & the Smalls, plus my Mum, Stepdad & brother will be at our house. Mum & Stepdad are vegetarian so I'll be cooking a Quorn roast ( ? imo, but Mum loves it) alongside the massive ham for the rest of us!

This is currently an ongoing argument in the HT household.

I'd rather be in labour than spend Christmas Day round the in-laws.

This year we'll be in Holland as that's where OH's family live. We alternate who we spend Christmas with, but we always see both families over the Xmas period, so will spend the weekend before Xmas with my family then fly to Holland for a week on Christmas Eve. I love spending time with both families at Xmas so I don't mind whose turn it is!

Just me and H at my house. Then on 27th he goes back to his and has his kids for a few days, and I'll drive up to my mum's for a day or so.

And we have a wedding to go to on 29th - well posh...Chelsea Town Hall and Langham's Hotel. May well be on to you lot for sartorial advice.

Then H has his kids again and I'll potter round the sales. Probably spend New Year on my own (sad!!) and then it's back to work.

I'm cooking at ours. H's mum is coming over (his dad is working) and my dad is coming too. The the stepkids will be over at about 6pm and H's dad is coming after work about 8pm. Boxing day the kids go home about 12, then we will have a day to eat leftovers, pack for cornwall, then the day after, H is working, I will get the kids again, go to the in-laws and have another xmas dinner there! H will come after work about 5pm.

Then the next day, take the kids back (again!) and we go off to Cornwall for New Year. Phew.

Waking up and having breakfast at home just the two of us, then Mum and Dad are picking us up and we will be going to my sisters to see neices and nephews for a few hours to do presents etc (my brother and his wife and my nephew who has been in America will also be there). We will then be going and having dinner and the rest of the day/evening in PIL's as its their turn this year. Boxing day we will be at my brothers all day for another dinner to spend some good quality time with nephew.

We're spending it with P's family at his brother's house, in a town called Lejre (near Roskilde). This will be my first Danish Christmas so I'm really excited! Plus we're giving P's nieces their flower girl dresses as part of their present, can't wait to see their little faces ?

We will be at the in laws from mid december until Christmas Day, having lunch there then driving 2 hours down to my Gran's where my family are and then going back home on boxing day. My parents only decided to go up last week as it's a 7 hour drive from their home to Gran's but I am so so happy. I got a little bit stroppy at the thought of spending my first Christmas without my family. We are similar to Flow, Christmas has never been for less than 10 people at a time and we do all the games and all pitch in with the cooking. H gets up with his little sister, opens presents, goes back to sleep while his Mum cooks, then eats when it's ready and heads down the pub. He has already started moaning that I'm going to make him help this year. Too bloody right.

Christmas morning at ours for as long as possible then to the in-laws for lunch. Sleeping there that night then to my parents' for Boxing Day.

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't ask for better PIL but their house is just chaos with parents, grandad, four sons, four wives and two toddlers. There's presents, wrapping and food strewn all over the living room and it's just too much for me sometimes!

I would love more than anything to have my offspring for Christmas, but sadly they all live miles away (nearest one is 220 miles distant) and my house is too small to accommodate them all.

Even though they are all grown up I still miss them! It's heartening to see how many of you still visit parents at Christmas - bet it is REALLY appreciated.

Not sure really. The original plan was to have Christmas morning at home then go to Mum and Dad's for lunch and the few days after, then MILs for New Years. But now we may have one of our friends with us and we're not sure how MIL will be feeling because her Dad died a couple of weeks ago. It's all a bit confusing this year!

i didn't either really. It was the only time we could go on honeymoon due to lack of annual leave. Now it's booked it seems like a great idea, but it was a difficult decision to make. From next year it'll be bank to alternating who's family we spend Christmas with, Ireland or Isle of Man- I guess they're away too really.

Christmas Eve curry (a Bubble family tradition) at the local Indian in Essex followed by midnight mass.

Christmas Day morning, breakfast with the FIL's, and then we're driving back to that there Berkshire for lunch with my parents. Staying there the night, and then Boxing Day round FBIL's I think.

We have both sets of parents coming to us, to avoid the "where shall we go" dilemma. I'm an only child, so if my parents aren't involved, they would be alone. Also I argue with my mother too much in her house, it's much better when they come here. If I were working, MrBBB would go to his parents and come back for the evening.

We may end up with BIL and his gf as well, and probably my aunt, uncle and cousins in the evening. I wanted a big house to entertain in, so I'm perfectly happy about it!

I lived overseas most my life, I find being in the UK for Christmas really depressing.

In the UK I always go out and volunteer in a shelter or food hand out for a few hours, I hate how Christmas feels so materialistic in the UK I am so pleased I wont be here for this one.
