Where can I find a reasonably priced dress for my flower girl?

maisybelle, 15 September, 2008 at 21:04 Posted on Planning 0 13

My flower girl will be 2 and I wanted a white dress I can decorate to fit in with my colour scheme, but they're all so expensive!

Any ideas?

I wouldn't want to pay any more tan £50 she's growing so fast she won't be able to wear it again. It doesn't have to be a 'flower girl' dress, just a pretty party dress we can personalise - I can't find anything, even on good old ebay!

Have you looked in wedding dress shops, I was really lucky on Saturday I was MOB shopping, we popped into a wedding dress shop, got a perfect flower girl dress, reduced from £135 to £50!!

My top line was £50 because they grow so quickly, this dress is gorgeous, I'd wear it if it fitted me!!!!

But they had a few in there, dont know whether there are end of summer sales starting?

    HTH?

Thanks Maxi, I hadn't thought about Monsoon I'd just presumed they'd be too expensive, it's so pretty!

Keg - you were lucky! I might go for a wonder into town tomorrow and have a look in some wedding shops.... any excuse!

We were very lucky, it was a size year2, my flower girl is 4yrs, but a waif, So we had to gamble whether it would fit, because the shop wouldent do a refund.

The gamble paid off (for a change!!!!) fits her like a glove, and room to grow, mind you only 4 and half months to go.

Well worth going for a look tomorrow, you never know what you might find!!!?

If you really want to save some cash try Tesco and similar SIL1B got hers from there for approx £12 and you would never of known (I didn't she told me after) they added a sash and little bolero to go with the adult bridesmaid and they looked great.

We got ours in John Lewis and they weren't that expensive, maybe 60 pounds. However, I've heard of people getting them i Woolies of all places, and M&S had some lovely ones too.

We got ours in John Lewis for £55 - just plain white dresses - beautiful! I think they may still be in stock in the clearance section so you may get them cheaper if you move fast!
