Where can I get a swirly intial design from?

Suzanne at pretty wild? She always has fab monograms on her invitations...not sure if she'll just design one for you?

I had a go and it's surprisingly easy! You can also download fancy fonts from www.dafont.com

I have D L on my invites. I used the font "English 157" (which was the Vistaprint choice) but something like "Edwardian Script" would work too.

I thought about doing nice big swirly curly initials in a light grey monocrome stylee with our names over the top...?

yes indeedy, did have these, courtesy of the very talented Prettywild - I don't have a creative bone in my body Suz came to the rescue!

If I had a jot of creative talent then I may have followed GBs suggestion though!

Something like this... (You said your initials were H R. The names are just the first that came into my head! And the font of the names might not be right but you get my drift...)

Just made it in PowerPoint (hence why you can see the guides on the snippet)...
