Hi

at the moment, everything is still up in the air.

but im finding that only a week into the engagment and everyont wants to know what is happening and to be honest i realy want to start planning.

but was wondering whereis the best place to start, is there like an ideal order to sort everything, or do you just make it up as you go along?

thanks

becca

I'm no expert but I'd get the big things sorted first.

So, decide on a date, and start looking at venues and check church availablility if you want to get married in a church. If you decide on a popular date/time of year, you might want to look at booking a photographer. And a lot of dresses take around 6 months to make so depending on how long you have, you may want to start shopping around for that as well

    Good luck and congratulations!

    Firstly, congratulations!

We started with a provisional guest list so we had an idea on numbers, then a budget. Then we decided on an ideal date, looked at venues, and booked one within a couple of months (as well as the registrar, which the venue did for us but most of the time has to be looked into before booking the venue to ensure they can marry you on the date you want). We then booked out photographer, and chose out colour scheme so we could send out save the dates. I have just booked a florist and we are looking into a caterer.

The venue is the thing we thought was most important as they seem to get booked up earlier and earlier, as well as things like photographer and florsit who can do one wedding a day.

    Good luck, happy planning! x
