Where else can I look? (holiday cottage) Please...

phooey74, 12 October, 2008 at 15:41 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

Can anyone help please as I seem to be going round and round in circles....

We and our neighbours (in total 8 people 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs) would like to try and go away for Xmas - I know it might be a long shot given that we're in October already but I've been looking on the net and we just seem to end up with the same old websites. We're ideally after a cottage or similar that's self catering and on it's own.

Does anyone have any bright ideas as to where to look? I've tried pet/dog/animal friendly and a couple of the tourist boards plus English Country Cottages but nothing as yet.

Thanks in advance oh and for fear of offending anyone I'm Phooey74, 3 kids, usually post on BT but haven't been around much lately, have dogs, cats and guinea pigs, like white wine and chocolate......

If you have not already tried them, www.farmcott.co.uk have some very nice properties and are very helpful. We had a fab cottage in Devon for new year with them a few years ago.

Try the National Trust, they do self catering cottages.

Also the National Trust for Scotland do to.

Have a look at Helpful Holidays - they have many, many cottages in the southwest, their database is easy to search on and they are extremely, erm, helpful!
