Where is everyone getting BM dresses from?

Lola88, 28 March, 2010 at 17:24 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi all, I'm wondering where everyone is getting their bridesmaid dresses from??

I've got 4 adult bridesmaids, (as well as a yonger one who I'll be getting a different dress from the others), and although I'm incredibly fortunate that my parents are paying for the venue and food, and my dress, we are on somewhat of a budget.

Where is everyone else getting theirs from? Any help/suggestions received gratefully!

    Hi lola,

Having only just ordered our BM dresses, I feel your pain. My CBM and I trailed the high street but could not believe how difficult it was to find a long black satin dress on the high street. We finally decided to try a bridal shop and glad to say we found what we wanted. We went for alfred angelo style 6493 and even managed to find a discount voucher on line for 10% off.

I got mine from Debenhams as we are on a very very tight budget but a lot of people on here have got theirs from China. What colour and style are you looking for?

I got mine from House of Brides in America and they were less than half the price of buying them in a bridal shop in this country.

There are good and bad stories of people ordering dresses online but there have been loads of successful brides on here - its just your luck really, Bridal shops can let you down too.

Thanks for all the replies so far... for colour I'm going for hot/fuschia pink and poss gold (men are having gold waistcoats, might just do gold accessories for the girls) and I'm not sure whether I want full length or shorter...

I've no objections to ordering them online, just not sure what companies are good- I will have a look on light in the box!
