Where to buy paper for invitations

ccurrie1012, 15 December, 2014 at 12:54 Posted on Planning 0 8

We've decided to make our own invitations to cut down on costs and to have a bit more control over how they look but are struggling to find somewhere to buy the actual paper. We need something thin enough to be folded but obviously thick enough that they don't look cheap! Anyone have any ideas?

PDA Card and Craft - the widest choice of paper, card and matching enevleopes and you can also get it pre-cut from them if you want a different size. Superb service and prices.

My mum does a lot of card making and often buys from Papermill (papermilldirect.co.uk).

Second vote for Hobbycraft, that's where I've bought ours from too! Good quality and they have a huuuuge range of different colours too, so definitely worth a look.

I have just delivered the final two sets of wedding invites of the year and the card I used was from PDA, Papermill Direct and Limetree crafts. All fabulous quality and great service. To avoid disappointment I would always advise to send for samples before placing your order. Different finishes and weights make such a huge different to the appearance and feel of the card - smooth and textured cards of the same gsm/weight can actually feel very different

Have fun with these and don't forget to order more than you think you will need to allow room for error - it can be hard to colour match form different batches.
