Where to buy Swarovski crystals? Flashes too please!

soon2bmrsRB, 21 January, 2013 at 16:40 Posted on Planning 0 4

I've been thinking for months about what shoes to have for my wedding I'm no good with heels and the last thing I want is sore feet, I bought some flat shoes from BhS which are lovely but so uncomfortable. I've just bought some white pumps because they were in the sale and I just thought maybe I could put some crystals on with some nice lace laces but I have no clue where to by them please could you point me in the right direction and I'd LOVE to see what you've done with your shoes!!!!!!!

I found eBay to be very good with Swarovski crystals, you can get scatter ones or ones to glue to shoes etc.

I always get mine from ebay,(normally use a company called crystal-craft) just make sure that you buy the right kind, as you have get hot fix or non hot fix,

When i normally stick crystals to my shoes, i use a glue called Gem Tac and the non hot fix crystals then i put a bit of glue on the shoe with a cocktail stick and then stick on the crystal with a pair of tweezers,

Just so you know alot of companies do lots of different crystals, but Swarovski crystals give the best sparkle

For the Swarovski you can try Trim-its, Which is in Blackpool, these is also DSI Dancewear(But these I think work out dearer still.)

There are also stones called Preciosa, they give off a really good quality reflection just as the Swarovski do but there is a difference in price, preciosa work out cheaper.

There are also an ever cheaper version called DMC. These just don't have one consistent cut so the face profile on some of the can be different to the one next to it. But if no one is going to be looking that close, you wouldn't notice. These you can get on eBay.

Standard size is an SS20. But this does depend on what its being used for and personal preference.

Personally i would do a mix of all the sizes.

Alot of the shoes i've seen us Crystal (the clear version), The Crystal AB Catch the light better and reflect what is around them.

Hope you have fun with them!

    Hope this helps xx
