Where's everyone going on Honeymoon? and to get a good deal is it better to book early (a year in advance) or wait until a few months prior to when we actually want to go?

Off for a three week road trip around california, arizona etc....visiting LA, San Fran, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, San Diego, Yosemite and a whole load of other places! Booked part of it through a tour operator (flights, car and 50% of hotels) and the rest we did individually. Costing a fortune, but it's going to be amazing!

Then we're thinking of going to Maldives or Seychelles or something in Easter 2011 as a kind of '2nd honeymoon'...any excuse really!!!

    Can't wait to go!

We booked through Kuoni, they've been great. Because there were several places we wanted to book ourselves (because there were particular hotels we wanted to stay at), we were quite limited on tour operators who would do something like that. Kuoni's only policy is that if you book flights with them, you have to book 50% of your accommodation with them, the rest you're fine to do yourself. So for our 20 nights we just had to make sure we booked 10 through Kuoni, and the rest we could do what we liked with!

Let me know if you want any more advice! x
