Wheres your bridesmaid dresses from?

7 September, 2012 at 15:32 Posted on Planning 0 37

I'm having a nightmare finding dresses that are light pink and under £100 for my bridesmaids.

Where did you get yours from?

All the websites I do find some on that are the colour / price range - you can't return them! I can't risk this!

I got mine from JS Collections at House of Fraser - they very often have sales on. My dresses were meant to be £160 each, but got them all for £120 each...I know it's still expensive, but that saving at least pays for their shoes.

Have you tried these? Beautiful quality dresses but not horrendous prices. £80 for the shorter length or £120 for full length. A quick google can find thema bit cheaper in other stores. I am also looking for light pink bm dresses!

I've ordered Dessy (Lela Rose) ones but got them from an American website, as they were just too expensive in UK bridal stores - £262 each. By buying them through an America store I got the two for £255 so i'm really pleased!!

Try and think outside the box, it hasn't just got to be from weddingy places. I was convinced I wanted a bronze colour scheme and couldn't find a dress anywhere I looked, and then I came accross a teal maxi dress in the Holly Willoughby collection on Very.co.uk, and I now have these! Seeing the dresses (and for only £69 each - I have 5 BMs!) completely changed my mind colourwise and I would never have thought to look on there before! xxx

I used one called Toast Bridal - they've been really helpful and when i ordered they also had a special offer on free delivery. They're due mid October, but my bridesmaids have already tried the dresses in the shop so I know they'll be OK....I triple checked everything as i was so paranoid that it was too good to be true. think they're just cheaper in america because it's where dessy is made, they're an official retailer so should all be fine!

I had these dresses! They are a pinky nude. They were really nice. Wish I'd ordered myself one now!

Have a look at the photos in my report if you want.

I saw my BMs dresses in John Lewis and they all fell in love with them but couldn't get a couple of the sizes so went to the website of the make of dress and managed to save a really random amount (instead of £110 I paid around £78). Can highly recommend high street Smiley smile

I've gone for all different dresses, we've bought 3 of 5 so far (going shopping for the last two tomorrow, as it happens). We got the 3 we have bought from Coast. I'd always said I'd get them from the high street. I gave them a budget of 100 pounds each for a dress and (typical of me and my girls I'm afraid) they trashed the budget! One managed to come in under, at ninety nine quid though, it hardly left room for budget upping for the other two! The other two found dresses for about 150, and they paid the extra 50. The dresses were gorgeous, and they had free reign to choose what they liked really.

Possibly not helpful my mam has made mine with a little help/hinderance from me, could you find a pattern you like and some fabric in the right colour and get a dressmaker to do them. Think mine work out at £30 fabric wise per dress (i have 6 bridesmaids i needed a cheap option) need to factor in labour obviously. That way you get exactly what you want.

Mine were from Debenhams. I managed to find a color and style that both my bm liked, and then ordered in (very) different sizes. If they had been slightly too big I would have gone to the seamstress. They were around 100 or a bit more and very flattering for every figure. Picture:

This is what my bridesmaids are wearing - they're gorgeous in the flesh and are really flattering. They're selling out quickly, though!

Hi ive been on to toast bridal website after your comment as I love the dessy collection but couldn't afford to buy three of them from the uk, but when ive looked at delivery it's coming out at about £120 how did you find out about the special offer? And are they being delivered through the international checkout that website uses?

    Thanks
