Which box set next?

My top 3 ever were The Wire, Breaking Bad and the Sopranos. But you've seen those (good on ya!).

Of others that have been mentioned, Game of Thrones and Walking Dead were both watchable for sure.

Things not mentioned, but that I rated decent fun (but never gonna match the top 3) were Justified and House of Cards. The latter is a work in progress with me, but good so far!

I have heard good things about House of Cards but l have not heard of Justified.

Timothy Olyphant is the lead, which is nice since he's pretty hot

It turned out to be an interesting show in that you start to realise that the lead is a bit of a **** and by the second/third series you like the 'bad' guys more.

Some good suggestions above (all my top 5 are there!) Another vote for Suits from the 'new' batch of series. I also really rate House. My most recent guilty pleasure was Sleepy Hollow. It's a good job the series are on a break at the moment otherwise I wouldn't get any WP done...

Voting for:

Spartacus, Lie to Me, Once Upon a Time, Suits

And adding Vikings! Black Sails is worth a look but not as good as Vikings

Boardwalk Empire. It really improves after season 1. Gets really into the nitty gritty of (fictional) life during the prohibition.

Battlestar Galactica?

I'm watching falling skies - the first series is good & then it gets quite silly. But if you like silly but be worth a look.

House of cards & OITNB is on my to watch list. I'm waiting for a few more series for these first because I get annoyed when I invest in a programme (Terra nova & Ringer -anyone?) &it gets canceled after only one series.

If you're after a filler, I'd recommend The Mindy Project - first couple of episodes are a bit meh but then it gets quite good & its now one of my favorite programmes.

I have been thinking of giving this another go. The 1st time around we couldn't get into it and found it a bit dull.

Ditto - gave up after about 4 episodes.

I keep thinking I should go back to it too, since I also gave up on The Wire after about 3 episodes as couldn't get into it. Luckily a friend convinced me to give it another go, and straight from the first ep second time around it all clicked into place. I think your brain has to click into gear with the lingo as well as the characters. No doubt about it that it was the best TV show ever made. Thank bejesus I went back to it.

Now just to convince myself to do the same for Boardwalk Empire!
