Which do you like the best? Centrepieces

avintagebride, 7 March, 2011 at 22:14 Posted on Planning 0 20

I am undecided which one to go for, and may even have a mix, I think that would work?

I either want vintage glass cake stands, or vintage cut glass bowls (with or without pedestal) Here are some I like. WDYT?

Hmm... me thinks car booties are the way forward!

If the car boots are no good, you could always try something like this from Ikea:

    I love the first one!

Have you looked at this website: [View:http://www.vintageteasandrsvps.co.uk/page9.html:550:0] they hire out these sorts of things for around £3 each!

I love photo 1 and 2. I think photos 3 and 4 look a bit 'orchestrated' for me personally as I always prefer a more natural look to flowers.

I love 1 and 2 as well, for the same reason as rainbow florist, and because the mix of colours in them is so well done Smiley smile

I have vintage glass cake stands and my centre peices will be really similar to picture 1! I got mine from raiding my mum and aunties houses but seen a few in second hand and antique shops too

The second one is lovely! What type of flowers are you going to have - as love the hydrangeas!

I like the first one- I like the mix of flowers/foliage and colours (I also like the table cloth).

Oh, and I prefer the cake stand- great idea! Though you could have both- cake stands on some tables, bowls on the other.

    I am having a mix of jugs/vases/bowls as I love mis-matched stuff

1 and 2 are my favourites too. Still not 100% on what sort of flowers, unfortunately no hydrangeas or peonies as out of season in March...[:'(] still a sore point.

I prefer the unorchestrated more natural look too. I really like garden roses but I think they are meant to be whoppingly pricey? If any florists have any ideas of flowers to use in a vintage style bouqet that wont cost the earth, I'm all ears!

I am also leaning towards a mix of bowls and cake stands, think i'll just trawl the boot sales and pick things I like!

for all your opinions ladies x
