Which nails should I go for?

MrsA2B2014, 11 August, 2014 at 13:25 Posted on Planning 0 5

Bear with me, I know they all look pretty much the same but they're different - promise!!!

I am not a fan of french manicures, mainly because I'm a smoker - and will be a chain smoker on the day due to nerves - so the tips end up going yellow after a few days.

I want something that won't look really dated in a few years, so was thinking of one of these options. What do you think? Or would I just be better off with nude pink nails?

In the nicest possible way, I think all of those styles will look dated in years to come. A pale nude/pink, with no massive white tips, will stand the test of time!

The last pic just shows an accent nail, are you thinking of doing that or having that style on all of your nails? I kind of agree with Footlong that glitter might look a bit much.

I have been erring more on the side of number 4 for a while, but realised that in years to come, the whole rebel nail thing will be well out the window. Tempted to just stick to the colour in number 4 and forego the glitter.

Thank you ladies for helping me make my mind up!!

I'm going for scarlet nails. I have my nails painted red most of the time, and initially thought I would go for something a bit more "bridal", although I knew I didn't want a French manicure.

However, despite several goes at bridal nails, I still prefer my classic red. It is just "me", and as my dress has a very Old Hollywood feel to it, I have decided to stick with them. Whether anyone will comment, or even notice at all (they're all so used to seeing me with red nails) remains to be seen, but I know it is right for me.

(And OH loves them too :-) )
