I like the second one and in the maxi length best I think, although it also looks lovely as a short version. Could it also depend what time of year your wedding is?
I guess I go against the trend/grain. I like the longer one. It looks sophisticated and more glam, but depends upon the type of wedding you are having when/where. It also covers up the shoe issue. You'd have to have matching shoes if you went shorter yes? Some b/m are funny about their legs too: too thin, too wide, too pale, not enough tan, or streaky orangey/tan etc. Alot to think about. Regarless what you choose they are both very pretty dresses and will look lovely in your chosen colour. Good luck! =)
I like the shape of the ivory one better. I agree you should have a think about the matching shoes issue if you do go for short dresses. It's not an absolute must but could look a bit weird if the shoes vary too much and it can be tricky to get one pair to fit all comfortably.
Another thing to consider is height. If you have bridesmaids of differing heights then with short dresses they all look diferent legnths on the photos whereas with long dresses they look more balanced in my view.
What size are your bridesmaids? If they're size 20 they're gonna look quite different to the stick insects in these images...so that'll affect my choice! :-)
I much prefer the shape of the second dress. I think it's personal preference whether you go short or long, I do like short bm dresses though (even though mine are maxi).
