Oh no thats aweful!! good news is paypal is really goot at getting money back to you usually. doesn't really make up for almost ruining your hol tho. I hope you managed to relax a bit. x

Only just read this and didnt want to read and run - did you get this sorted?! ?

It was actually paid for using the access card which acts like a prepaid credit card and draws money from your Paypal account. The good thing being that you instantly get an email. Unfortuantely it was used at 7pm so everywhere was closed. When I got hold of the company at 9am the next morning they said the order had been processed over night. I was able to cancel my card though and get the papers sent out to dispute the payment. Unfortunately that will take 10 days. One of the 2 companies I have used it with to make payments over the phone must have something to do with it so I won't be doing that again.

I know it's obvious in a way... but have you scanned your computer for viruses, spyware etc lately? It may not be the companys fault but something installed on your machine without your knowledge having taken your number when you used it.

Something similar happened to me recently. Its so stressful !! Especially as I'm currently trying to use my paypal account to get all the last minute things purchased for the wedding and so far my paypal account has been frozen for over a week grrrrr!

I have Norton anti virus installed

Norton is one of the most commonly hacked pieces of software - I use AVG for anti-virus, CC Cleaner to get rid of c**p on my machine, and malware bytes to get rid of any malware/spyware on my machine. I also make sure updates are run regularly on both the operating system and all of the software.

OH no....how frustrating!! I dont understand how people can do things like that.☹️

Sorry to hear that and I hope it gets sorted soon. I use paypal all the time and I dont have any anti virus stuff on my laptop at all though after reading this will look into it.

Oh no, that's awful. Hope you can sort it out quickly and find the culprit. My hubby used to have Norton on his laptop and he got hacked into 3 times so scrapped it and got something else but not sure what.

Oh thats great to hear!! I had my ebay account hacked and they had tried to buy a gun from America!!! The transaction took place at about 10pm and within minutes it was cancelled thanks to the great team at paypal who knew it was suspicious and blocked it. I have no idea how they know these things but glad they did. Makes you very wary of buying online though!! xx
