Some brides decorate the venue themselves the night before or morning of the wedding

(if time is on their side)

Where you getting married again? Maybe you and your bm's could do it the night before?

I have a florist and chair cover lady doing chairs dinner tables and pillars but I will be delegating the decorations I have bought for other areas such as ledges, bannisters, bay trees and buffet and drinks reception tables and toilets out to my sisters/friends and mum the night before. I may even make an appearance myself to give it the once over. If you aren't hiring a venue dresser why not mock up your arrangements at home then take pictures so they can use them as templates for how you want it done.

The people at the hotel are doing ours, but to make sure they know 100% what and how i want it i will be packing up everything into seperate boxes with typed instructions a picture of what it should look like (will do a mock up at home). Surely they wont get it wrong then!

Can you ask a good friend/s and explain how everything should look? A friend of mine has offered to help on the morning if I need it. A good tip I saw on here, from Sherrie I think, was to have boxes for each table and in the boxes everything that should go on that table - placecards, centrepiece, favours etc so it was easier to pick up a box and unpack on the table.

I'm actually hiring Sherrie to do my venue dressing! She is very reasonably priced - I never in a million years thought I'd be able to afford a wedding co-ordinator. It is in my opinion worth the extra cost for the piece of mind that it will be done right and I'm not burdening my family to do it. Plus I dont have access to the venue the night before or even the morning of the wedding!
