    Hi,

I am looking all over West and North Yorkshire. Hazelwood Castle is nice but a bit expensive. It's just outside York. I am also looking at Aldwark Manor or the Old Parsonage. If you look towards Harrogate, there are some lovely venues, eg Rudding Park.

I hope this helps a bit

Hi I'm getting married at Danby Castle, which is just outside Whitby - North Yorks its lovely! But not a big fancy castle at all tho, more ruins but quirky and I fell in love with it. May not be your cup f tea or a bit far away from where you are looking buts its worth a peek.....

Good luck finding a venue! x

    Hello I live in York!

We have looked at the parsonage, aldwark manor, the marriot, fairfield manor and the bridge inn. We also thought about looking at burn hall. My fiances family and most of my uni friends come from away so we needed somewhere with accomodation.

We have booked to get married in church and then having the reception at the bridge inn at wetherby! we chose the bridge inn as its only a small venue with 37 acommodation rooms and the room we have chosen for the reception is lovely and light with patio doors all round one side of the room. Its easy to get to and close to the a1 motorway. for people who dont want to stay at the hotel there is a days inn hotel 3 miles away which is roughly half the price of the rooms per night. just met our requirments perfectly.

Hope these places give you some ideas!
