who has a marquize engagement ring?

pink & glitz, 25 June, 2014 at 20:58 Posted on Planning 0 8

I do! I am going to be buying my wedding ring this weekend, what style of wedding ring did you go for?? Due to the marquize stone, I realise every band in the shop won't go with this. I have tried to Google this for more information however not much online that I can find x

If your stone is raised, a standard wedding band might sit under the protruding edges, so you'll your pick of the bunch.

If your stone is flatter, you'll probably need a shaped band, like so

They will have some shaped bands in the shops, but if you can't find one that fits, you can get one made to fit at Alba Rose or the like.

Mine is a marquise. It is raised so I have a plain band that fits snugly underneath.

Your rings look lovely kharv, I was thinking a bling ring but think it may take away from my marquize stone as they are so beautiful. Out of noseyness, did you try on a wedding ring with diamonds and if so how did it look??x

Not sure if this will work or not...

I have a small marquise ring but I went for a twisted band.

I wanted a wedding band by where my engagement ring wasn't going to sit over the top of the wedding band or have a piece hacked out of the band to accommodate the e ring shape.

    Thank you Smiley smile

I did try on a diamond wedding ring - even the jeweller admitted it looked too much! Smiley laugh

The diamond on the ER covered too many of the WR diamonds for my liking. Plus with the side sapphires too, it all looked a bit 'much' for me!

If you want a straight band, a jeweller could change the setting in your ring to a higher one, should you need

Have you got a flash you can show us? side shot would help Smiley smile

Mine is a pear but sits raised so I am having a normal band that is sized 1/4 size smaller to sit underneath. I am going for a diamond set one.
