Who have you chose?

Hi, we have chosen my sister and my best friend who is also the mother of my god children to be bridesmaids along with my god daughters to be flower girls. I have a huge network of close girlie friends so this option saved upset. My OH has chosen the untraditional set up of having two of his best friends to share the role of best man. So he has best men. Was a fairly simple choice for us.

Hi, I chose my sister as bridesmaid and my OH's cousin as flowergirl. This avoided any upset. As for bestman my OH has 2 very close friends he asked the one he has known slightly longer to be best man and the other will be an Usher.

My cousin (and best friend) as MOH, her daughter as FG, H2Bs best friend as BM - that's all...keeping it simple.

My 3 girls (daughter and 2 step-daughters) and my niece as bridesmaid and my nephew as page boy.

OH is going against the grain and wants his female best friend as his best (wo)man but she's not so sure lol, if she decides not then it will be his brother.

We have a HUGE bridal party...I have my sister as MOH and then 7 bridesmaids...my daughter, 2 best mates, 3 cousins (who are like sisters) and OH's sister. We also have 3 flower girls who are my nieces and 3 page boys who are my nephews.

OH has his best friend as best man, and his groomsmen are my brother and his 3 cousins.

Wow we do have a lot, but we both have huge families on both our parents side (27 aunts and uncles between us and they've all had children whom we are so close to) and we wanted the most important ones to us to have a major part in the wedding.

I have my best friend as Maid of Honour, and sister and cousin as bridesmaids.

My OH didn't want a best man (he's a bit of a loner (meant in the nicest way) and doesn't have a best friend just a few good friends) but I think as his brothers want to be involved so they will share the best man/usher roles.

We have two housemates who we've lived with on and off since university and I think we are going to ask them to be our witnesses.

My closest friend is my bm, her kids as page boy and flower girl.. oh's bro is best man.. ushers are my younger bro and oh's friend-

I chose my best friend as Chief Bridesmaid / Matron of Honour, another good friend as 2nd BM, and my future sister-in-law as 3rd BM.

My OH chose his cousin as Best Man - OH has no brothers and no close friend - his closest friend was always his cousin.

Our witnesses were going to be my mother and OH's Stepmum (he doesn't speak to his birth mother) but his Dad and his wife are now no longer coming to the wedding, so the second witness is my boss, a lovely young woman who's always been more like a friend than a boss...

I know we are not exactly having the traditional set-up (my Mum will be the only Parent of the Happy Couple there) and there have been frictions in the family about some being invited and some not, some invited only to the evening whilst others to the day, but we are limited on numbers, plus OH made the choices where his family was concerned so... I felt a bit awkward from an ettiquette point of view but went along with it...

I have my best friend as matron of honour and my older niece as bridesmaid and my 2 little neices as flowergirls, this has caused a problem with my eldest sister who thinks i should have asked her to be my matron of honour, but i have her daughter which i think is a fair deal!

My OH brother is Best man, my brother, his best mate and his step dad are ushers and my 2 nephews are page boys.

As i said above it would have caused problems whoever i had as bridesmaids etc as i have 2 sisters but also 3 neices, my other sister really didn't want to be bridesmaid and is happy for me to have her daughter.

We have:

2 X Best Men - very old friends of mine who have become OHs best friends

4 X Ushers - 1 best friend of OH, my brother and 2 of our nephews

1 X page boy - nephew

2 x bridesmaids - Cousin who will have travelled from Australia and very old friend

1 X CBM - Oldest friend i have

We also have 2 of my cosuins who are just having a general role of helping out, one will walk my page boy down the isle, one will escort my mother down the isle on. We have chosen to put them in suits just like the others. They will have flown all the way from Australia so means alot to us.

We also are choosing my Uncle and Aunty who again will have travelled from Australia, to be our witnesses.

Its very difficult to pick and think it will hurt peoples feelings. But at the end of the day, if people really love you, they will understand why you have picked the certain people that you wil have done and if they get nasty about it, they weren't even worth considering anyway x

We are having:

2x Best men (although that might change to 1x best man and 1x usher)

No Ushers (at the moment)

3x Bridesmaids - my two sisters & one of my good friends

No page boys or flower girls. Not really close to any young children who could take the role.

We are having:

1 x Maid of Honour - My Sister

7 x Bridesmaids - My 2 best friends, 4 close cousins and OH's sister

4 x Flower Girls - 4 cousins

1 x Best Man - OH's best friends

1 x Pageboy - Our Son

2 x Ushers - OH's close friend and my uncle

We are having....

1X MOH - my best friend

6X Bridesmaids - 2 of our closest friends daughters who we were on holiday with when OH proposed, and 4 nieces

3 X flower girls - the remaining 3 nieces

My 4 adult Bridesmaids are my cousin, best friend from 6th form college, best friend from uni, closest friend now flower girl is OH's niece. :o) Best man is OH's Brother, ushers are OH's best friend & my friend who is like a brother to me :o)

I was really worried about this to start with! I'm not have a CBM/MOH, having 4 bridesmaids instead (my sister and three close friends). My OH has his best mate as best man and two other friends, his brother and my brother as ushers. We're planning to ask other friends to do readings etc.

We have chosen my cuz and cuz's gilfriend as my bridesmaids, cuz's LO as flower girl and DF's brother as best man x

We have my Niece and 2 best friends for BM's my friends daughter (1 who is also BM) and OH's niece as Flower Girls and our Son as page boy. OH has a close friend being Best Man and another friend as a witness. I also have my sister as a witness. We have brothers and x1 cousin as ushers.

To be honest we have not had much complaint from anyone regarding who we have choosen. x

Our best man is one of my neighbours he took OH under his wing when he first arrived in england and they are really close, 2 flowergirls are my best friends daughters (one of them is due to be born next month...we not getting married till june)....my daughter puddy is bridesmaid as is the best mans 2 daughters....and OH best friend from australia is coming over for the wedding and bringing his daughter so have asked her, CBM is a friend from work...and my MOH is my neighbour...she spends more time at my house than she does her own...she is like our adopted step daughter....she is sitting here with me now and we is just chilling.

Ushers are my son and a english mate of OH and his mate from Aus.

My dad is giving me away (for the 3rd time and he hopes he doesnt have to do it again)

We havent chosen who is doing the readings yet but i expect it will be our friend who is doing a reading at our commitment ceremony on NYE.

We had: -

3 bridesmaids - my sister, and two of my closest friends from uni - my ex-flatmate and one of my rowing buddies. Mum wanted me to have some of my cousins but I thought that would just start offending those who weren't asked, so I didn't have any of them.

Best man - OH's best friend

3 ushers - One mutual friend who used to be my "college husband" at uni, one close female friend of his and his ex-girlfriend (who he is now very good friends with). The ex wasn't initially in it, but then we weren't sure if the other girl could make it so had her as a backup; in the end they both came.

2 witnesses - our mums.

4 readers, 2 each for civil ceremony and blessing. We had his mum and my sister in the civil ceremony, and then it was meant to be my mum and his granddad in the blessing, but he couldn't come so OH's dad did it.

OH's brother was our official photographer and acted as a bit of an usher as well.

We're having:

2 x Best men - OH's best friend and my son (his soon to be adopted son)

1 x MOH - my best friend

2 x Bridesmaid - BM's wife and OH's brothers fiancee

2 x Ushers - my brother and OH's brother

1 x flower girl - daughter of BM & bridesmaid
