Who in fiction are you?

I am Wendy Darling from Peter Pan:

Enthusiastic and adventurous with a gift for innovation and storytelling, you are a doer who loves to live in a world of action. With a fun-loving nature, you are simply marvellous company but sometimes, without you even realising it, your decisive actions can be hurtful to others.

When people like Peter try to force you into doing routine chores you will become quickly frustrated and unhappy. On bad days you may also become a little bossy. However, if you realise your true gifts, your enthusiasm, ability to improvise and practical approach will help you to fly.

    I am:

You are Mary-Jane Watson from The Amazing Spider-man

When Mary Jane finds out Peter Parker’s secret identity as Spiderman she promises to continue to love him as a friend. It’s unclear how exactly she worked Peter’s secret out but it’s probably down to the deep intuition about people you both share.

Your warmth and energy make you very popular with friends and colleagues as does your ability to bring out the best in them. In short, you make even troubled souls feel good about themselves. On bad days your intuition may lead you to manipulate others to get what you want but you usually return, fairly quickly, to your natural caring, down-to-earth and enthusiastic state.

    I am:

You are Mma Ramotswe from The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency

Mma Ramotswe relies on her intuition and understanding of people, rather than attention to the details of the law, to help her solve cases. Her rare insight into how people work is something you share.

Your quest for finding meaning in life draws you towards jobs that help you make the world a better place. Although you’re generally calm and laid-back, on bad days you can become introverted, stubborn and inflexible, and you have a strong dislike for conflict. Yet you are capable of achieving so much, including great writing, if you’d only give yourself more credit.

    I am:
Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird

At your best, like Scout, you are inspiring company for your friends, colleagues and even strangers. Atticus would be proud as your empathic nature helps you to walk around in other people’s shoes. Being around you is fun as you instinctively know how to make people feel good about themselves.

On a bad day, you might blurt out something your neighbours wish you’d kept to yourself. Remember to take time out occasionally to work through your experiences. These periods of reflection will help you complete tasks and return to your naturally cheery, inspiring self.

You are Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Your blend of logic, level-headedness and insight into people’s behaviour helps you to home in on problems at work and those of your friends. These friends value your unfailing loyalty and, indeed, count on it, forgiving your sometimes prickly, know-it-all side.

Your reserved, introverted nature makes you are a natural reflector, which in turn helps you to gain insight into problems, avoid confrontation and toe a measured line. Even though some people may find you hard to read, given time they will come to value your opinion when facing the Voldemorts of this world.

I don't think this is entrely accurate...

You are Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Holly grabs life by the lapels and refuses to stop and mope. Audrey Hepburn found playing her tough, “an introvert playing an extrovert”, but she captures your inspiring, enthusiastic and outgoing nature perfectly.

With a gift of the gab, your ability to bring the best out in people and your lust for life make you great company. People who meet you want to be your friend. If they were to catch you on a bad day you might come across as indiscreet, flamboyant and hasty but, if you can focus on finishing the tasks you start, instead of moving on to something even more exciting, you can inspire us all.

You are Emma Woodhouse from Emma

Like Emma, you are an engaging presence and great fun to be around. You have wells of charisma to draw upon when charming the pants off the people you meet. Sometimes your bright, lively mind leads you off one task and onto another without completing either.

But, by gifting yourself some time alone to process things, you can fight that and achieve great things. On a bad day your exuberance can lead you to become indiscreet and overly confident but people will forgive you because you’re simply too much fun to stay mad at.

You are Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice

With a sensitive heart, deep intuition for the virtues and failings of others, and a love of nature, you share a great deal with Elizabeth Bennet. Although your emotional intelligence and wit (not to mention your fine eyes) make you a noticeable presence at social gatherings, you need time alone to process such scenarios, often outdoors.

Although you will speak your mind if provoked, you internalise emotions on occasions leading to outbursts further down the line. Indeed on bad days, this trait may lead you to become stubborn and undemonstrative but your warm, intuitive heart will eventually lead you to love.

    I am Batgirl apparently!

Your competitive nature and fast-paced, decisive approach makes you the perfect super-heroine. The original Batgirl, Barbara Gordon, became a feminist icon and you are a natural leader, with your ability to see the bigger picture and strategise.

Friends and colleagues may find you over-bearing and aggressive on your bad days.. You’re programmed to excel and succeed and may ignore the emotional impact of your decisions. However, you’re Batgirl – enough said.

You are Emma Morley from One Day

You, and people like you, are often artistic and great counsellors to friends and family. With deep intuition, like Emma, you can often forgive others’ behaviour because, somehow, you deeply empathise with the motivations and inner turmoil behind them.

Even though you can appear aloof, bland and stubborn on your bad days you are as warm as you are complex. Your friends hold you close to their hearts and understand your dislike of conflict. With great creativity, given independence, you can excel at jobs to which you commit yourself.

    Not a bad likeness actually.

    My OH got:

You are Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

You are a naturally humane soul with a deep understanding of people – even the most evil of wizards. As being around you is so much fun, friends might be surprised that you need a lot of time by yourself too.

Dumbledore is everyone’s favourite and your loving nature and ability to make others feel special stem from your emotional intelligence but, put to bad use, this can turn to string-pulling. Giving yourself space to process your emotional experiences will help you to overcome personal crises such as the defection of friends, enabling your brilliance to surprise even you.

he was quite happy with Dumbledore haha

If I was a man, I would be:

You are Jean Valjean from Les Misérables

Your deep emotional intelligence means you trust your intuitions about people implicitly. This sensitivity is allied with a cherished ability to bring the best out in them. Coupled with a slightly extroverted temperament, and a strong desire to be liked, you are rarely wanting for friends.

Within your community, you have a strong sense of values and are not afraid to express these. Like Jean, you take your responsibilities seriously and your persuasive enthusiasm helps you to bring people with you. On bad days you may rush into decisions and become overly-demonstrative – stopping just short of breaking into song.

This sounds much more like me - especially the breaking into song part......

    This is spooky:

You are Alice from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

What you lack in attention to detail, you make up for in your ability to process the world around you, slotting it into your highly evolved system of values. With a need for constant stimulation, you can quickly become passionate about new ideas, people and sometimes their flaws – which can land you in trouble.

Adept at social situations, your independent streak means you are also perfectly happy in your own company and indeed you value time alone to process your experiences. On a bad day, like Alice, you can become controlling and over-bearing but that’s only because you know best, isn’t it?

Must be something in the name!!

    Erm...

You are Clarice Starling from The Silence of the Lambs

Your powers of analysis, logic and reflection mean your personality type is well-suited to detective work. You prefer to work alone and, socially, you prefer one-on-one debates with serial killers to parties.

Like Clarice Starling, you place more emphasis on the big picture and prefer your world to feel controlled and well planned out in advance. Indeed your holidays will often be planned out with military precision months ahead of time. This quality may make you over-cautious, worrisome and picky on a bad day, but you will have made provisions for that too.

    I am:

    You are Coraline from Coraline

Coraline wants to be taken seriously. Perhaps when she grows up she will be more like you. That is, a person described as serious, task-driven and loyal by their friends and colleagues.

Even though others may describe you as slightly introverted, your ability to absorb yourself in the details of a task and your deep-thinking allow you to rise to most challenges – even extreme sports.

Coraline’s loyalty to her parents helps her in her story and your loyalty to friends will always help you in yours.

Aragorn from The Lord Of The Rings

With your decisive and fast-paced approach, you are an asset to any team or rabble of hobbits. Your personality is quite unique with your rare blend of self-drive, assertiveness, confidence and competitiveness.

Like Aragorn, your ability to see the big picture and strategise while directing and motivating others make you a natural leader even if you don’t feel ready for it. At your worst you may judge others harshly and not consider the emotional impact of your decisions, but your slighted followers will soon feel inspired again by your actions
