Do you think we need to tip the waiting staff on our wedding day? ?

I wasn't planning on tipping anyone. TBH I think I have paid enough already!

I would love to be able to tip the bar & waiting staff but I just don't think we'll have the money to be honest! I am going to send the wedding co-ordinator a bunch of flowers/box of chocs afterwards though assuming it all goes to plan! I might take a huge tin of roses or similar for everyone too. hmmm...

I won't be tipping anyone on the day. I will be sending thankyou cards afterwards and will send gifts (possibly cash/vouchers/booze) to anyone whose services were exceptional. Won't be tipping hotel staff indvidually though

Are you serious?? You gave the chefs £200 and will give them another £200 if the food is ok? Blimey that would feed 6 extra people at our wedding...

6 people? It would feed 14 people at ours! And give us a £1 change!

That 200 quid clearly bought your champagne and canapes....I dont see that as a 'generous gift' from them at all.....

i aint tipping either..... unless its myself, over a chair, drunk ? which would be awfy unladylike......

I think that everything cost more than it normally would just because its a wedding so no I dont plan on giving tips (unless someone is exceptional), the wedding has cost us a small fortune already!

Nope we didn't tip anyone. I sent thank you cards to the venue, florist, BM dressmaker (and registrar as she was fab) but no thank you presents or tips.

Personally if it was me a card would mean more to me. If you feel like you want to thank the staff at the venue then a big box of chocs might be a good idea.
