I'm not surprised after you've just lost your brother. I think it's understandable that you're upset by that and the wedding planning will be affected by that.

I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you can think of incorporating him or doing something nice in his memory

That's just how it goes! When you have plenty of time to get things sorted you inevitably run out of things eventually. Don't worry, as it creeps closer it'll all start again!

I'm hoping so. I think it'S Partly down to having a funeral / wake to help organise now that's perhaps contributing. I just keep thinking "all this money and time in one day " - thoughts I never thought I'd have. Maybe it's just a blip as I've been so excited for so long.

And thank you Halloweeny. We're having some photos of him up by the cake along with H2Bs late grandparents, as well as asking my Dad to say a few lines of him in his speech.

I think it's fairly normal. I went through a phase of wanting to put the brakes on and cut back, thinking is it worth it for just one day. I would guess that would be even more likely given the sad news you have just had.

I'd say let it be, take a few days, or even a couple of weeks off planning (whatever you feel comfortable with) and just take care of yourself and your family for a bit. You sould well organised, and with 4 months to go you still have plenty of time to pick things up again later.

When we DO tick something off I'm excited by it. This weekend I was but not as much (obviously). I'll probably hold off wedding planning for a while whilst I organise my brothers wake and get on it after. Just looking at my calender and whilst we have limited weekends to dedicate to 'wedding' I cant help but think "aah well, whatever" and its just not me.

You're right though. We ave a photographer meeting at the venue next month, maybe I'll get my bug back then... Smiley smile

I was the same. By the time the wedding came I could wait to get married and kind of get it over with.

I really felt like there was so much hype about the 'big day' for about 18 months that I got so fed up of talking about it. I had a bit of a break from here too after the wedding as I really did go in to post wedding crash mode afterwards. It's fine to feel the way you do, your day won't be any less amazing, it's just difficult to keep up the excitement for so many months from engagement to marriage I think :-)
