I chose Zante as I have been going there sice I was a child with my Nan and Grandad and it means alot to me and my family, we have many Greek friends there and also English friends that my Nan and Grandad meet up with yearly. My Grandad is giveing me away so I just thought it would be the perfect place.

We chose Majorca as it's where H2B and I first went on holiday together and where we have been back to year after year. It's somewhere really special to us and somewhere we are both happy and relaxed. We love it and it just seemed like the natural place for us to get married.

We chose mauritius as it was probably the only chance we would get to go somewhere so exotic and we knew the standard of weddings there were good (no 13 weddings in one day malarky etc)

We got wed in zanzibar almost by accident - we'd decided on Kenya as we'd had the most fabulous holiday there and its where Mr SP finally (after a 7 year engagement) said 'hey, lets get married' .... but we were looking thru' a brochure and stumbled across Zanzibar and it seemed a lot less commercialised and a little bit more how we imagined our wedding would be ... however, what we got was just awesome - we had no idea what to expect really but ....

it was the most amazing day of our lives ...

any excuse to look at my piccies - they make me feel so cheery!

We're getting married in portugal. IL's have a house there and we've spent lots of holidays there and love it. We also have friends there now.

Plus it's cheaper than getting married in the UK!...and warmer Smiley smile

I got married in Rhodes in 2007 at St Paul's Bay. We had taken our last holiday there before buying our house (and thinking that was it for holidays for a while!!!) and saw this little chapel on the beach in Lindos where we were staying. We commented how quaint it was and wouldnt it be lovely to get married there if we were Greek.

A year later and we started planning our UK church wedding local to us. We booked the church and attended some of the services and then they told us they were going to start building work the month we were due to get married and this entailed knocking a huge hole in one of the walls and removing the pews and replacing them with plastic chairs. We chose the church for how pretty it was and it just spolit it all for us really.

We picked up some wedding abroad brochures one day and then came across the same little chapel on the beach and saw that we could actually get married there (although in the coutyard rather than actually IN the church). It seemed fate.

I found a fantastic wedding planner who lived half the year in the Uk and half in Lindos and it all went from there. Looking back I couldnt imagine anything better and I'm really glad with the church plans falling through. We had an amazing day with loads of extras and things we would no way have afforded here in the UK.

Wouldn't it be the most romantic place ever to get married on Romeo and Juliet's balcony!! ?

We chose Tobago as it was recommended to us by friends who had gone on holiday there. Also, I was watching on of the David Attenborough programs and he was there on the island talking about the wildlife.

We chose Las Vegas as our wedding destination as we had an amazing time there a few years ago. OH is really excited by the idea of getting married there and had been very involved in the planning as a result. We thought about doing something in the UK or closer to home, but it just didn't seem very 'us'.
