Why is 'Favourites' spelt the American way?

cjb, 23 August, 2008 at 12:03 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

The 'favourites' button next to 'reply' at the top of posts is spelt 'Favorite'.

Surely Hitched is of UK origin, or am I wrong?

Hitched is a UK based site but it looks as though the programme used to run the forum is american.

Given that the autocensor bans entirely innocent names like the diminutive of "Richard", while allowing good old Anglo-Saxon invective like "bollocks", I think we can have a pretty good guess as to where the software came from!
