Is anyone using the Wii Fit to help with their weight loss??

We managed to get hold of one on Friday last week and I have used it every night this week and I ache in places I didn't know exsisted. lol. I've been very daring and not done my exercise DVD at all and used the Wii Fit instead. I will weigh myself on Monday morning to see how my weight loss compares to that of using my dvd and report back.

I have to say also I seem to sweat a hell of a lot more using the Wii Fit then my dvd.

I'm just getting started (this is day 2!) and I have a Wii Fit. Been on it this morning, did 30 minutes (pig time) and was quite sweaty afterwards. I'm planning to use it along with gym/running/walking/DVDs and whatever else I can think of!

    Hi

I got a Wii fit for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I use it everyday I do about 45mins on it pig time. I love the hola hooping and the step aerobics I have been doing some of the yoga but want to get rid of the weight before I go on to the toning. I have also been doing my work out as I would be gutted if I didn't lose anything at least I know I will lose a little because of the dvd. Yes do let us know on monday.

    What sections do you do.

I love the hula hoops, especially the advanced one. I also love the step. I mainly do the hula hoops, step, boxing and running, but do throw in some balance ones too. I did the Jackknife last night and thought it was great.

Well I did my Wii fit for 5 days last week and lost nothing. The thing I didn’t like about the Wii fit was that it weighed my every day, so I was seeing the weight gain and loss during the 5 days. Happily though I didn’t gain. I have decided to continue using the Wii fit, but will also use by exercise DVD.

hey guys, mind if I join in?

I love my wii fit, I do about 20-30 mins every day on it but we are considering getting some hardboard to put underneath as I dont think standing on carpet is giving a real impression of me when it weighs me. Anyone found it differing to the bathroom scales??

Not substantially different but I don't think I've compared them directly. I think the recommendation for scales in general is to use them on a hard floor so I wouldn't be surprised if they read wrong on carpet.

Hi buttons you don't have to weigh yourself every day. You can just go straight in to training. Thats what I do. I only weigh once a week.

Do what I did; order from French Amazon! It took 10 days and cost £76 in total, only £7 more than the high street price here, which I figured was worth it to skip the waiting!

and I ordered from Amazon Germany. Took about the same amount of time and cost the same as Melancholie. Site is exactly the same as Amazon UK and used Babelfish to translate.

I've been reading this post - getting really jealous because they've sold out of Wii Fit's everywhere - was thinking of ordering one from Amazon france/germany, like you guys did, if they had any - but something weird happend yesterday.

I was in town, I'd decided to meet my parents to help them with shopping. While we were walking around we passed Zavvi - I had this real urge to go in, but I didn't know what for.
I looked round the DVD's, but I didn't really want any, I had no idea why I was there. I was just on my way out when I saw a sign saying Wii Fit in stock! So I went over to the desk and saw a family buying one, so I asked a cashire and they had 1 left, so I snapped it up!

I love it - I did 20 mins on it last night, as I had to let my partner have a go too. I did lots of hula hooping and I liked the jogging one. The balancing ones I found hard - but I'm not very balanced!

I was pleased, my Wii fit age was 31 - and I'm 28 so that wasn't so bad.

How's everyone else getting on with theirs?

I tried our Wii fit for the first time tonight and loved it. Will def be doing it each night now. Watching DH on it too was very funny!

I dont do any other exercise or DVD yet so I shall report back in a week and see if there is any difference to my weight loss (doing Slimming World).

You're gonna love it! I've had mine 5 days now and I do between 30 - 45 mins on it every day. I find if I do it in the morning (if I can fit it in) it really wakes my up. Otherwise I do it in the evening. I do find if I do it too late it wakes me up too much and I can't sleep - but that might just be me!

I'm starting to ache a bit now - but thats undersatandable considering I hardly did any excersize before!

I like the idea of trying to beat your own score, thats quite motivational and also that there are loads of different activities to do.

I thought it was going to take ages to open up the different activities - but I've opend up loads so far.

    Have fun!

Well my wii fit arrived this morning, and I've done an hour on it tonight. I love it! I had to go straight in the shower as I was sweating afterwards - ha ha.

I love the aerobics section, and the skiing on the balance section. I had a go at the muscle toning too, which really felt like they were doing some damage - I probably won't be able to move tomorrow.

Another good thing is that it measured my weight as exactly what I weighed this week at my SW class

Think I might get a bit addicted to it!

Can you get on the WiiFit without anyone else seeing your weight or does it appear in HUGE figures on the screeen. Can anyone else access your weight if they go on it....??

Your BMI and weigth do show up on the screen, but you can set a security password/number so only you can access it.
