Wine Goggles on Centrepieces

Sloth, 21 January, 2012 at 22:29 Posted on Planning 0 25

I have had a couple of glasses of wine and started searching centrepieces - is it the wine that is making me think these centrepeices could be cool. Boy is a brewer so the beer has a link, and all my flowers at the wedding will be fabric

Is that ice in the beer? Odd.

I'm not too fussed TBH, looked like wee in the glass.

Maybe have a rethink when you're more sober.

    Don't hold back! Haha!

Yeah, I'm not a massive fan to be honest. If your OH brews beer what about having barley or something instead of flowers?

Ah but Kharv there is a flaw to that suggestion...

Not everyone would be witty enough to get the connection. I certainly wouldn't! ?

    No, I don't hold back.

The other main internet forum I use is an opinions board and we are very straight talking. I'll try to reign it in. A bit.

I would make you a macaroni picture explaining it to you! You could then eat the macaroni!

Wouldn't bother - thats why we post for honesty!

Knew I shouldn't like them - but always fun to look for random things Smiley smile

I like the barley, though I didn't know it was Barley so could see people getting confused!

Why not confuse them? It could be a talking point if conversation isn't flowing: Guest 1 'sooo, what's with the hay on the table?' Guest 2 'Maybe they couldn't afford flowers' Guest 3 'it's not hay, it's barley you idiots'.

I was married almost 2 years ago and unfortunately I didn't have a Lambrini reception. I did however, have macaroni cheese for my main.

Just to clarify though, she didn't make everyone else have mac and cheese too. Speshul? Yes. Inconsiderate? No.

I was a veggie at the time so I think I was being very accomodating by providng them with a meaty course. I honestly did consider serving up the mac n cheese for every one but I know some people can be fussy... ?
