hi, just looking for some tips on how to make it look spectacular on a budget? nothing booked yet just throwing ideas around but OH is being amazingly girly and wanting a say on everything!! would u say new years eve/day weddings are tacky or not? is it a bit rude asking people to give up their new yrs eve to go to a wedding?

If you look at my report below, I had a winter wedding and there are lots of flashes there.

As far as new years eve weddings- I think it would be hard for them to be tacky, I dont see why they would be, but I do think you may lose some guests because of it. Would be a fab party though for everyone- I would go to one!

I love winter weddings! New years might be a touch tricky getting everybody there but I've photographed some really great ones in the gap between Christmas and New years.

Here's a couple you might like to take a look at, lots of inspiration!

News Years Eve may be a little hard as people go home/visit relatives for Christmas. I love Winter Weddings & with all the Christmas decorations in the shops you have a great choice . Also most venues will be decorated already so saving on spending lots of things.

Yay, another winter wonderland wedding. That is exactly the theme I'm after. Ours is the last sat before Christmas, no last minute shopping for our guests ?

I personally would LOVE to go to a wedding on New Years Eve.

    Hi Sam.

I'm based in Bristol but travel the entire UK (and further) photographing weddings, from Edinburgh to Penzance it's no problem. Feel free to send me an email or give me a call if you want to chat about things.

    Alex ?

I made stationery for a December 23rd wedding last year - we used a beautiful rich red ribbon, candlelight cream card and silver for the wording on the front of the card and snowflake. Rich colours work well as an addition to white or ivory and silver or gold. For a wedding around that time of year the venue could be decorated with holly and ivy (free from the countryside!). My budget range of invitations could be made using a red border on candlelight cream card http://www.invitationsetc.co.uk/7.html
