Woo - it's getting colder, closer to Winter!

Josiep00, 11 September, 2010 at 10:33 Posted on Planning 0 12

I know a lot of ladies looking forward to their summer weddings won't be half as excited as myself, but I am so excited it is getting colder and darker now. We're easing in to the autumn, and then it will be winter!!!!!! I am so excited! I can't wait to have xmas as Mr & Mrs!!

Any wintery inspirations of what to wear to keep me warm for any outdoor pics I manage to get? I don't want a long cape/cloak as it would cover the detailing down the back of my dress, but it is going to be chilly ? My dress is white with black details and our flowers are red so can use any of those colours really.

Do you ever 'smell the snow coming?' maybe its just me but when its around november time I can smell snow in the air.....lol.

I'm sure i wont be the first one to say this but a fur bolero is always the suggestion made for colder days......maybe even a black one, just to be different.

See, I always used to see it as smelling the cold night air... even if it was during the day. But I know what you mean ?

I'm not the biggest fan of furry things, but I was thinking of maybe some fur cuffs on a jacket or something.

Ooooo get a velvet one (bolero or similar) made up with furry cuffs!!!!!!!!! use upholsterers velvet though as its thicker.

Mums offered to make me a long velvet jacket and told me to buy upholsterers velvet....... do you know any dress makers??

Not a bad idea - I don't know any dress makers, but my nan is a whizz in making things. I shall ponder that idea.

That is a fab idea, you could have it in red velvet with black cuffs or vice versa, also will double up as a lovely wintery going out jacket!

I am also another one who can most definately smell snow in the air, love winter.

You could wear some Uggs or similar under your dress for outdoors pics, you get some really funky colours.

Hehe - KJ, I've already bought some xmas cards! Going to use them as place names at the tables.

Glad all you other wintery brides are getting the winter-fever too!

KJ - they are lovely shrugs, but do you think that will be enough for an outdoor winter pic??
