Wording for host parents invite!!

Lisalesley, 24 November, 2013 at 20:07 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi,

As my parents are hosting I'd like to send them and invite with a personal touch, maybe a nice ode or something....basically wording to say we can't wait for them to join us on our special day, or tongue in cheek wording. If they get a standard invite it'll be pretty impersonal as they'll be inviting themselves!

Any suggestions welcome...

Lisa

Can you tell us how are you phrasing the other invites so we have an idea to "adapt" it for you instead of creating a whole new invitation?

I've been wondering the same as our invites are coming from my parents but I still want to give them a invitation!

    Hi Lil,

i was thinking different wording for them as they are paying for the whole thing so seems sill to just "adapt" the standard wording. Would like something quite special for them seeing a s they are giving us this wonderful day.

    thanks

What about something that also recognized the story before you were born?

    Something like:

"In xxxx you met for the first time.

Then in xxxx you said your vows and started such a great life together, including little me.

Fast forward xx years and on xx xx xxxx @ xx xx you know I will be walking the aisle to start my own great life together, joining the man I believe to be the love of my life.

I thank you for your wisdom and your support that make that day possible.

And together, <name of the groom> and I can't wait for you to join us for some tears of hoy and celebrate this big day.

    With love,

    <your name> & <groom's name>"

Hope it gets you started at least? Smiley smile

    Good luck!

Exactly this! I bought my invites so I wasn't about to change one. It was more so they had one they could keep really.
