Who is hosting the wedding? And you going formal or informal?

    Ours says:

Mr & Mrs Smith (my parents)

request the honour of the presence of

    Brad Pitt

at the marriage of their daughter

    Barbie

    to

    Ken

    at X church at 2pm

    followed by a reception at

    santa's grotto

There's lots of examples here: https://www.hitched.co.uk/stationery/stationeryhome.aspx or just google wedding invitation wording

This page gives you all the standard wording for wedding invitations depending on who is hosting, whether there is a separate reception venue, etc: https://www.groompower.com/wedding_invitations.html

Although they are not planning to invite Brad Pitt.

I got this from a link on this forum, can't find it now, but ours will say (once we get around to ordering invites!!!):

    Together with their parents

    Miss A B

    &

    Mr X Y

invite you to share in their love and happiness
as they exchange vows of marriage and begin
    a new life together

    at ...

    on Saturday 17 July 2010

    at 4pm

    followed by a reception

wanted something a bit more informal, and also didn't want to make it all messy by having to handwrite names into each one.

of course! i love it, found it on some link from here and it's just much 'lighter' than the formal 'request the pleasure of your company...'
