This one was in Georgia, America, I was sat crying watching it ?

My proposal wasn't romantic or how I always imagined I'd want it to be, but I wouldn't change it for the world

I emailed the youtube link to my fiancee and have just received a reply. She said "OMG I would have died." I expected as much, she said to me quite a few times that she didn't want a public proposal and was pleased with what I eventually came up with so I didn't expect she'd like the cinema proposal much.

My OH had food poisoning, handed me my birthday card which had the proposal written in it then had to dash to the loo!! We spent the rest of the day either at the doctors, at the jewellers (I was determined to pick my ring no matter how ill he was), or me in the living room ringing people excitedly while he was on the toilet!

    Fairytale life, that's what I've got ?

I am sorry ladies, but this makes me cringe...

contraversial thought here, but does anyone else think that this is just the groom to be showing off?

I can only speak for myself but I know that I felt some pressure to meet her expectations and produce a suitably romantic gesture that she would enjoy and would show her how much I loved her. It was only when I stopped and listened to what she had said and realised that she didn't want this big showy proposal that I realised how I should go about pleasing her. So maybe this guy feels that bigger is better, maybe he's showing off, I don't know.

Ginny clearly loved it so he must have known she would be ok with it.

I think it's so romantic, especially the bit with her dad, he must be so happy that his daughter is getting a husband who loves her so so much

Mine was similar. Although I was fully dressed, I only had 1 shoe on. My answer, incedently was "Errrm. I've only got 1 shoe on!"

There were tears... even from my OH.

My proposal was in My Mums' beautiful Tropical Garden with views over a bustling african township on Christmas eve. I lost my my Mum 5 years ago, she will never see me get married and this was my OHs way of making sure that she was with me at the beginning of this exciting journey! I wold'nt have had it any other way. The most special moment of my life to date!

I think it was lovely!! Made me well up, although I am all fluffy today as its a year to the day since we got engaged ourselves! On our hotel balcony in Egypt, was meant to be earlier in the evening but he bottled out hence all the pictures I am in pyjamas and minus any make up wth bright red sun burnt face! happy though!

It would make me cringe personally and i would hate it if my oh did something like that- each to their own, but it was a fun way of proposing?

I think it is lovely but the best proposal is always the one that is right for the person who is being asked, and the person asking!

This was obviously perfect for this girl, and Matt clearly had the confidence to pull it off but wouldn't be right for others...I think there is huge pressure on guys to make a grand gesture but if it isn't in their nature or what their future fiancee would like then they shouldn't feel they have to do it.

Have to say though, with a proposal like this Matt will always feel the pressure to live up to it with every big occasion!
