Ours is September 7th and our forecast keeps veering between showers and sunshine, so I'm going to buy a swanky brolly which will look cool in photos!

I will be annoyed if it does p*ss it down, as our venue is quite small and we're kind of relying on the outside space to accommodate the overflow, but hey-ho! Nowt to be done.

I threw a party on 27th July for my OH birthday. For two weeks solid I developed chronic weather OCD and watched with dismay as the forecast progressively got worse and worse and worse.

The guests all turned up at around 2 - 3pm, and the rain (torrential) was forecast for 4pm. It arrived bang on time and in all its worst fury. And stayed for the rest of the day.

the guests, however, stuck two fingers up at the great british summertime, erected a gazebo and sat out in the garden regardless, blankets on their knees, rain lashing down all the sides of the gazebo, the guests all lovely and dry having a great time. The party was a blast.

I realise this is in no way relevant to your situation but the moral of the story is, that you and your guests will most likely make the best of whatever the weather can throw at you. It doesn't have to impact.

Don't worry. Nowt you can do about it.

There is a new product on the market called a "rainaway" which helps protect your dress and scoops it off the floor. If you google rainaway bride you will find it Smiley smile

I'd be a bit peeved too of it rains on my day but I'm sure there will be a break in the weather at some point so you can have pics taken outside. Or as others have said, embrace it! Get colourful brollies etc and have fun in the rain!!
