Worrying wedding will be boring ! Need a wow factor !

kellouloud, 9 March, 2013 at 11:05 Posted on Planning 0 7

Good Saturday to u all !

I'm worrying our wedding will be boring ! It's in a beautiful hotel so I guess part of it is that there's nothing for me to decorate ! I really wanted a red carpet that has led lights in it but the company is booked up. Need a wie factor but can't think what !

Maybe it's because I'm going to a wedding in a few weeks that's a marquee country garden feel, would love to have done this but it won't fit in with our venue :-(

or so u think its that us brides worry about everything ! Lol x

I wouldn't worry hun, your guests are there because they want to see you get married. Your day is about you, not about impressing everyone else. ?

I think you are stressing too much. You said your venue is beautiful so why try to add more it may over do things!!! And besides YOU will be the WOW factor!!!

Why not make a red carpet? order a length from a carpet store.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think people will judge the wedding by how much fun they have rather than 'wow' factors.

I would just make sure there is lot's of props and Polaroid's (Fuji is actually better) so everyone can be silly and have a good time etc.

Hey there, try not to fret. What people will remember about your wedding day is the love you and your husband share and the energy you both bring to the day. Your wedding shouldn't be a show-production, so try not to get caught up in making it as such. An intimate wedding, with lovely food, drink and company is what people will remember. Congratulations and enjoy the process.

Sigh. What on earth has happened to the world? A wedding used to be a bride and groom saying their vows in the local church (or civil venue) then going to a hotel, village hall etc to chat to their guests, have a meal, then finish off the day with some dancing etc. Now it seems to be a huge theatrical production, with entertainment all day and no expectation that guests can have a long enough attention span not to get bored if they aren't actively involved in anything for a few minutes.

Please, take a step back and remember what the day is supposed to be about. You and your OH making a commitment to each other, supported if you wish by friends and family. It's not about jugglers, magicians, themes and theatrics. If you think you need more of a wow factor than the mahoosive commitment you're about to make to each other, then maybe you have priorities a little skewed.

This is why we eloped! Rant over ?

Don't worry, the wedding is about you joining with your OH and people are there to see you and share this happy time, not for a razzle dazzle spectacular!
