Would this look stange.

Chief bridesmaid in a ivory dress wioth burgandy sash and remaining 3 bridesmaids in burgandy dresses with ivory sash or just plain burgandy? Thoughts please!!!

This isnt the dress exactly but nearly right with the proportions of the sash.

    I don't see why it wouldn't look good. I see this kind of contrasting thing wuite a lot and I can't think of a time it looked bad. That's a gorgeous dress too.

    No I think would look ok, as long as you're not wearing ivory too - two long ivory dresses on one day might not be the best!

    I've seen a few weddings in magazines where the chief bridesmaid is marked out with a different coloured sash etc and it looks fine.

    I think the contrasting idea is lovely BUT if you are wering ivory too i would be tempted to do it the other way around and have the cbm in burgundy with ivory sash and the other 3 in ivory dresses with burgundy if they are kids but if they are adults i would keep the dresses plain burgundy

    I'm doing something similar. 3 x adult BMs in claret with ivory sash and 2 x 10 year old in pink (a dusky kind of pink) with claret sashes. Here is a mock up of how it should look;

    I kind of changed my mind on the red/burgandy/claret (whatever you want to call it!) so pink is a way of softening it up a bit and means I can use some pink calla's as flowers for them as the red are too dark.

    Sorry about the poor spelling in the title!!

    Yes I am wearing ivory and that was my concern.... that it would look funny the bride and CBM in ivory together!

    Thanks!!!

    Yep, I don't think it would look strange.
