Would you be annoyed if...

...some random was to walk into church and watch your wedding?

Obviously because churches are a place of worship they cannot be shut off to other people just for your wedding. Would you offended if people just randomly walked in and took up a pew part way through your ceremony?

One of my neighbours goes to our parish church who is a complete and utter weirdo (lets call her B), and will no doubt will turn up on the day randomly, although she doesn't normally go to church on a Saturday. My next door neighbour died a couple years ago from cancer (lets call her A). I watched B throw hedge clippings over her fence onto A's garden knowing full well A would truggle to pick them up as she was so house proud! On the day of her funeral (A) the 'weirdo' actually told the funeral cars to move from outside of her house...I mean for goodness sake have a little compassion! Amoungst other things she is an awful neighbour (B)!

I would be very annoyed, but obviously as you said the church can't be shut off from public access, could you possibly mention to her she's welcome to come and see you enter the church (in your dress etc) but subtley hint she wouldn't be able to be in the actual service? Don't know how you'd actually do that tho sorry!

Not really. ALthough we are not having a church wedding so slightly different. We are getting married in a 16th century hotel in a small village on dartmoor and although we will have every room in the hotel i fully expect to find locals proping up the bar.

I walked to my wedding and all my neighbours followed me up the road and came to the servie- it was so lovely! And as you said you can't stop anyone coming to your wedding if you choose to have it in a church! To be honest I seriously doubt you would notice one person anyway amongst all your guests!

Just so you all know this isn't a personal dilemma, I'm quite good at ignoring people so she'd have to really disrupt the wedding for me to be annoyed (shout something out etc). I highly doubt she will turn up.

I was just more curious as to whether it would offend you if some random person sat in on your wedding?

Lol I completely agree! It's quite funny you should say that actually I was whinging to my mum about the wedding cars taking back streets. I want them to go through our local town as opposed to back streets. I know that sounds daft but I'd like the journey to be scenic as opposed to it going around the back of Wilko's lol!
