Go on a TV wedding programme?

We got sent some info via our casino company about a new TV programme which was looking for people so we asked for a bit more info as a laugh and got told the basics- 4 brides go to each others weddings and a bit like come dine with me where you mark their wedding but without the bitchiness.

Haven't heard from them since then until a phone call today where one of the production team is picking the next batch of brides and wanted more detials from us and to give us a few more details.

So now we (well me as Si says it's my decision as it will mainly be me they are filming going to other weddings and marking, etc) have to decide by the end of the week.

I really don't know- it could be great fun and they do sound very genuine that they are very discrete and there really isn't any bitching but it could all back fire!!!

What do you girls think?

P.S. If we win we get a 5 star honeymoon anywhere (we've already booked one but we'd get a second)

It does sound fun- any excuse to gossip about weddings then get to go to them all!!

I'm just one of these people who likes to think of all the positive and negative things that could go on so i can way it up- some say neurotic!?

    Hi,

Nope don't think I would do it even for a honeymoon. I'm just not that confident and I think marking someones wedding would make me feel uncomfortable.

Much as I do love to watch the programmes, I have to agree with PG and Spring. I think that our wedding is personal to us and the people we want there on the day will be friends and family not a film crew and another bride "judging" if what we had chosen was good enough.

God, no! i love everything that i have planned for my wedding, and the thought of 4 other women, who i don't know from adam, coming along just so they can judge it (and probably *** about it behind my back) fills me with terror.

(but in a horribly contradictory and two faced way, i would definitely watch it on tv... but i'll watch any kind of reality crap)

    Hey

I'd doubt the 'we won't encourage bitching' claim. Would you watch it if it was all fluffy and nice? Nasty comments and of course the obligatory bad/mad/laughable character is what sells TV these days unfortunately. Big Brother etc are known for exaggerating characters' bad points and I'd be nervous about how I was portrayed on TV once a disclaimer had been signed.

Don't want to burst your bubble but I'd steer clear if it was me.
