Would you say something

chids, 22 September, 2008 at 15:47 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

I was chatting to my sister earlier and to cut a long story a bit shorter she had been talking to one of her work colleages about a mutual friend of me and my sister's boyfriend.

My sister's work colleague's boyfriend works with our friends boyfriend and aparently he's been saying stuff about my sister to the other bloke that he works with, basically it's crude stuff like how he'd like to shag her etc and generally being a bit pervy, and also telling the other bloke that we'd all been out over the weekend drinking. We've not seen him and his girlfriend for about 3 weeks. So he's basically lying about stuff to his work mate to make him look good.

I can't stand the bloke anyway and i'm pretty sure that he doesn't much like me. Would you confront him and say something to him? Or would you just leave it and see what else he comes out with?

Neither my sister or i want to ruin the friendship that we have with the pervy blokes girlfriend.

Sorry, i suppose it does come across as being a bit childish. I just don't like the thought of someone perving over my sister to his work mates.

TBH I would just leave it....if it's just inside his head it's harmless enough. If it became more serious then maybe something should be said. It's not like he is saying anything has happened with your sister/making up stories about them.

I think your mates boyfriend sounds like a horror - what a shame for her..

I can definitely see how it would make you and your sister feel awkward around your friend, but realistically there's not actually anything concrete for you to tell her - unless you want to say "did you know Dererk's been telling people he wants to shag Fiona".. which is probably too difficult. But as it's only hearsay anyway, it might not even be true?

Hopefully, if the boyfriend is as much of k-nob as he sounds, she might realise on her own soon enough and then ditch him.
