Wow! Great but also Oh ***, there goes my weekend.

Lillythepink, 12 December, 2008 at 11:03 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

This weekend was going to be hectic anyway. We're not taking AJ to rugby training on Sat am. because we're off to Delamere to buy our tree, then our friends' twins birthday party is somewhere random in the afternoon, so we have to drive there. Then Sunday morning is AJ's rugby match, and his rugby team's Christmas party at Laserquest on the afternoon.

AJ's teacher rang yesterday to ask whether it would be possible for us to run lines with AJ this weekend. It appears in the school production of OLIVER, the Artful Dodger has been norty, and they want AJ to do it instead.

GREAT! Wow! it's a brill opportunity for him, he's one of the youngest in it (Yrs 3, 4, 5 and 6), but it also means that a weekend that was already heavily AJ-biased is now even more so and I was planning to sort out all sorts.

<sigh> I'm not even going to get to see it!!

Bah!

So what are your plans this weekend? Make me feel better about it all!

Not an exciting weekend for me really.

H is working tomorrow all day so i've decided to bake fairy cakes for my little cousin's tea party who is 6 on sunday.

Sunday will be at said cousin's birthday party.

Well done on AJ getting to be artful doger.

I'm exhausted reading that! What a great opportunity for him though - does he like acting?

We're being all Christmassy this weekend with the girls as yet again their mother has left them down. It's tree shopping tonight, then baking some cookies for my nana's visit tomorrow. Tomorrow afteroon we'll be decorating the house & tree then X Factor final. Sunday will be homework and chilling out.

Ah, poor you! ? Does this mean you can't go out on Saturday now? It is a good opportunity though isn't it, bless him.

I'm out for dinner tomorrow night with the north west ladies and on Sunday we're going to a friend's for dinner and to meet their new staffie pup.

    Congrats to AJ anyway!

H is away all day on a work Xmas do.

Sunday was meant to be quiet day of cleaning, hangover management and tree shopping and decorating but I'm now taking a train to Bristol with R in the evening to stay with friend so I can do an interview for work on Monday morning sans toddler. ?

    All go!

Great opportunity for Aj but a shame you wont get to see it.

Nothing nearly so hectic happening here. H is away tonight back about lunchtime tomorrow. ONe of us has to wait in all day for a delivery so we will stay in for the morning and one of us will take the kids out in the afternoon.

Sunday I am taking my 5 yr old to see Beauty and the Beast and H is taking the 18mth old swimming.

Evenings will be spent wrapping gifts.

Have a fun if busy weekend !

Your weekend sounds pretty exhausting but i'm sure AJ will relish being given the chance to play such a big role in the school play, good luck to him!

Tomorrow morning we're going to buy our Christmas tree then i'm off into town for an eye test and to pick some (much needed) new specs as my old ones are falling apart (despite my wearing contact lenses all the time). Then we're going for a takeaway and X Factor final fest at our friends house (and also to catch up with some other friends who are over from England and are staying at their house). Sunday will be decorating the tree/house and trying to convince H that it really would be a good idea to put twinkley lights along the gutter of the house.

Well done AJ! but it does sound like a hectic weekend.

It's Dr L's birthday tomorrow so after spending today cleaning while he runs a short seminar enjoying a hangover we will be going to a lovely hotel near bath for the night, enjoying the tasting menu in the restaurant. Tomorrow from there we're heading to a lovely hotel by the sea in cornwall until monday.

I shall mainly be relaxing and eating lots of lovely food, while consoling husband as the surf is going to be 15 feet and he's too old and unfit to paddle out in that anymore ?

The Artful Dodger's the best part! ?

We're off to buy our tree tomorrow and start decorating the house. H suggested this morning that we should buy some nice twinkly lights for the front room so they can be seen from the road - the rest of our decorations will be in our "back" living room so the house will look a bit unChristmassy.

Other than that, it'll be a takeaway and the X Factor final tomorrow night and then hopefully a long dog walk on Sunday depending on the weather and if my cold is any better. I'm thinking of buying shares in Lemsip! ?

Ooh well done AJ! How fab! What a shame for you not being able to see it though - will there be a video?

Blimey, bet you wish Monday morning was here already eh? What a busy one!

    Mine is:

Tonight - shopping for bits and pieces (not many, most of my stuff is bought now... I love the internet) and a sneaky beverage or two with SC!

Tomorrow - cleaning my flat, keeping my fingers crossed that SB will pass his next grading in TKD, then he's coming up to London, I'll cook dinner and then we're going out to see Rhod Gilbert perform

Sunday - purchase of tree and drunken trimming

Oh well done AJ! the best I did at a school play was the part of a snowfloke ?

In a hour I'm off for a facial and massage, then mr jaz will be bringing me home a chinese and we will just be lying in the house. Tomorrow we will be mostly doing nothing other than maybe writing some cards and packing for Sunday when we're away for a couple of nights for our first wedding anniversary ? Then when we are away I will either be eating, shooping on lying in the bath. Woohooo!

Oh, god. Christmas cards. I haven't written one. Tonight I have to clear the pile of girls toys out of the living room to make room for the tree.

ARGH! Can we put Christmas back a week? I haven't food-shopped or anything. At this rate we will be having orange curd and pickles.

Nice to hear so many people doing the tree thing this weekend. ?
