ww help please

Livi, 4 August, 2008 at 18:36 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 4

Hi, this is the first time I have posted on this Board. I am a long standing WW Gold member. My weight has always fluctuated but by being strict on myslef and counting points I have always got back to goal. This is until I had a baby 2 years ago. I lost most of my baby weight pretty quickly but have been left with a very stubborn 1/2 stone. Although not much it is enough to push me up a dress size which just upsets me. I have wider thighs/hips and a big belly that I never had before.

I am being so good with what I eat, drinking loads of water and going to the gym 3 times a week but can't lose anything.

what am I doing wrong? It terrifies me that I am restricting myself so much in what I will eat/drink already and if I just give up (which i am close to)my weigh will just balloon and balloon.

Please help me! I just want to feel confident in myself again.

Thanks x

    Hello,

Firstly, well done on getting back to your goal weight after having the baby!

I got to goal a few years ago and have put it all (and some more!) back on, and that's without having a baby! ??

How about doing the WW Kickstart plan for a couple of weeks? Your body may just need that initial 'shock' back into losing weight rather than maintaining. Are you counting your Points still?

I've never bothered with kick start as i am only on 18 points anyway so assumed it wouldn't work. i'm also worried i'm stuck in a bit of a rut as i eat mostly the same every day

Livi why not try switching to the core plan, will give you a bit more variety, make you think about the diet and also give you a real variety to eat. you can always switch back if it doesnt suit you

Core frightens me as i have no sense of control when it comes to portion sizes - I can eat ALOT!! do you need different books for core? don't really want to go to a meeting for them as I am outwith my goal range and would need to pay [tight-ar*e icon]

The info should be in your original eat wisely book (the alphabetti spaghetti book), the trick is when you dish up to dish up half your usual portion, leave the rest in the kitchen and go and sit down and eat, then when you have finished think about it, are you really still hungry? can you be botehred to go to the kitchen for more food?
