www.takethattour.com - anyone used?

maisybelle, 31 May, 2009 at 17:59 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

Hi everyone,

I'm getting a bit worried that I've been completely conned... did anyone buy Take That concert tickets through www.takethattour.com? Their website has since completely changed and the email address on the confirmation slip I recieved is seemingly non-existent. I'm going (hopefully) on the 9th June and starting to fret!

HELP!!

Hi! I cant say I have used the site, but just looking at the link that youve posted, all it is, is a site with lots of random tickets sellers on, some of which are little more than ticket touting sites. It deffo isnt one of the official ticket sales sites. I personally think you should be a little concerned especially if you have no other way of contacting the company or tracking your order! Do you have a phone number?

I am really concerned! When I initially booked the tickets (the day they went on sale) it looked an authentic Take That website - obviously now I'm doubting it but I'm usually super cynical so for me to have done it, it must have looked it. I have no phone number - all I have is an email address which I've tried on several occasions and just get a reply saying it's been rejected.

God I feel like such an idiot, and so guilty as I bought several friend's tickets through it too.

I really dont know what you can do! I wish I could suggest something, but if the site isnt one of the main agencies like, ticketmaster, see tickets, ticketline, or one of the other official sites then I dont really know what to suggest! Did you pay by credit card? can you contact the credit card company and see if you can claim the money back? I would think that if you are going to get the tickets then they should be here this week, because most agencies will send tickets out no later than about 5 days before the gig!!

Thanks Kayos! I paid by card so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed they come this week but if not I'll look into if I can do anything about it, where I stand legally etc. Oh my god, the thought of missing Take That this year is too much to bear, ha!

Hate to say this, but you won't be going to see Take That thru these people. My FIL got myself and his daughter (my SIL!) tickets from them for Christmas - but he tried to query something and didn't get anywhere - so I used good old Google and they're currently being investigated for fraud.

You should get your money back no problem from your credit card company (as long as you spent over £100) my FIL finally got his back last month.

    Sorry.

    K, x
