What's chuckie egg?

It's that old hitched stalwart of a recipe - egg mashed up in a cup.

Nooooo! A chuckie egg is a boiled egg in an eggcup, with soldiers (white bread, with butter).

God have I got that wrong too? Am clearly too southern for my own good.

noooo, it's boiled egg mashed up in a cup with a knob of butter and salt and pepper to taste. Eat with buttered bread or toast

To be fair, I assumed it was boiled egg and soldiers too.....

actually I'd never heard of egg in a cup referred to as "Chuckie egg" until the threads about it before but Boiled egg with soldiers is boiled egg with soldiers!
