Your Best Christmas Bargain

MBK, 24 December, 2008 at 09:35 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

I went into WHSmith on Monday - I had seen in the window they had a 'Scene it' DVD James Bond Themed Game. My H loves Bond so thought I would grab it for him for him as my present buying so far is a bit uninspiring.

Anyway I thought it was a bit prices £39.99 and then noticed it had 40% off

However when they rang it up at the till it was £7.50

I was a bit stunned paid and left, chuffed with my bargainous buy!

So what has been your best Christmas Bargain?

    That is a bargain!

I've bought youngest SD an MP3 player from grabitnow.com which was £4.99 inc delivery. I loaded it with songs the other day and it's actually very good.

For MrKB's stocking I've bought him an Indian cooking book and lots of spices used in Indian cooking. I paid 59p a kilo bag for each spice. TOTAL bargain!

Apart from the above we didn't spend over the top this year as we set budgets for each person.

My daughter's main presents have cost £1.74 due to Hitched and she has been very very spoilt. She has a lovely play kitchen that GailW gave us and it is just perfect. It is the perfect size. Gail is a star. Then there was the £1.74 pram offer posted on BT the other day which has provided a pram, dolls clothes and high chair for Christmas, a doll for when my son decides he needs one and a babywalker/travel cot for her birthday.

I now need a cheap Scene it though!

KB3 that is a totally bargainous!

We had an expensive year with vets bills this year and new kittens! So we said we would only get a few bits too.

For H's family we all have a £5 limit! I went over on 1 person by £2 (but others I spent less on!)

I got the £1.74 pram set - it's fab, and is going to make me a great auntie!! I also got a 15inch tv with freeview for my parents for £80...reduced from £140.
